Thanks for promoting it we have a small contingent heading over from SA including one special. Either the Adrian Flynn/Gavin Gold Knotso Special, or (following the engine getting rattly at the last event) Dave Beames' Delta S Special if the Knotso is beyond easy repair.

Hi Dave,

I haven't seen the current entry list for a while, but I know there is also a strong contingent from VIC making their way across with a good variety of vehicles.

The Collier Class G special is coming over, but I think Andrew's the only driver.

There're also other entries from QLD, NSW and ACT

Looking like it’s going to be a competitive and exciting event.

I hear that Craig Williams won’t be able to make it which is a great pity. There was a rumour he was bringing his Moke which would have made Class-A very interesting.

Are you coming over? Class C was won by Craig’s MCS in 2005 (the last time the AMC was in Perth); it would great to have a MINI competing this time.

Definitely not me. If I was I'd be Class C in a turbo Volvo (looong story). Problem is my Mini has steering rack limiters installed so it just hasn't got the lock to get round a motorkhana course.

Whatever I can get into Track day this month, then Legend of the Lakes in Nov.

I also have a stock rear spoiler coming, and looking for a stock front aero bumper, to convert into a tarmac rally car. Already have the seat etc.

Guilty as charged. Useless for motorkhanas but show promise as a good all round package in speed events.

You can't get any more free than 100% and that's how free this event is.

To aid in attracting new people to the sport of motorkhana, all costs for this event will be bankrolled by the Mini Car Club and CAMS. This includes the usual entry fee AND the cost of the appropriate one-day Level 1 CAMS licence if you don't already have a full yearly one (please bring your own of you already have one).
Basically you are paying for the fuel you use. Can't ask much more than that.

The event will be held on Sunday February 19th at 10am at the RAC Driver Training Centre skid pans, near the airport. Please rock up at 9:15 or before as we need to scrutineer your car, get your forms signed off and then do a drivers briefing.

This is a Come and Try / Beginners' Motorkhana day with multiple courses set up. The tests used are aimed to have as little impact as possible on the drive train. You can use handbrake if you want; you can get by if you don't.

We will also have a few experienced competitors there to pop in the car with you for your first run to give you the low-down on how to get the most out of your car for this kind of stuff. After the first run you're free to go out on your own.

Drivers can be as young as 12yo, so bring along your brothers/sisters, sons/daughters or nieces/nephews. They will need to have some basic car control skills and you'll have to sit along side them for their runs until they gain confidence.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Seatbelts, enclosed shoes. That's it. You don't need long sleeves, helmets, fire extinguishers etc.. You can turn up in a bunky. If it stops and steers, you can run it.

You can rock up and enter on the day if you want, but to save some time and effort, it's recommended that you print of an entry form and fill it out before hand.
