Offline | Canterbury MINI Garage Hey MINI Fans, my names Richie and i`m the MINI specialist at canterbury MINI Garage. Loads of you know me pretty well by now, we`ve done quite a few events in the passed few months and I hope you all enjoyed MINI Cirque at fox the other day. I have a bit of a situation and a friend of mine called Trish with a hot little Cooper S Park Lane came and had a chat with me today and said it might be an idea to let u guys know whats going on over here, and see if you can help.... I`ve been with MINI in the uk for years, its the only thing ive ever done, and i live, breathe and sleep MINI! I moved over to Sydney to become the MINI Specialist for canterbury, and its been absolutely brilliant for the last 5 months. But now I'm stuck with my visa! In order for me to stay in Australia and stay working in this great place, I need to change my visa to a different category. At the moment we are trying to work something out, but I am not sure if it will be possible in the end. Anybody who has met me or been to the dealership since I started would know that It's great people, and that I made my contribution to making it "the" place to purchase and experience a MINI. I know that management, staff and customers here fully appreciate the effort ive put in, but it appears that the visa thing might just tear it all apart. Guys I am absolutely gutted that I have to give up doing what I love, in a place I love doing it. And at the end of the day if anybody ever needs my advice in anything MINI, then please dont even hesitate to write me a message and i`l get straight back to u, or call Erik who'll definitely still be there. I will probably leave Canterbury MINI Garage on the 25th April, and if anyone has any ideas on how to help my situation, then please let me know. On the other hand if anybody is serious about selling MINI`s, and loves the product as much as I do, then make sure you get intouch with me. After all the work myself, Erik and the guys have put in over the last few months, It would kill me to see it go to waste. Thanks for listening and let me know your thoughts. all the best, and keep it MINI!............ Rich Last edited by Richie C : Mar 31st, 2007 at 01:58 AM. |

| MINI2 Regular | Ok guys ... is it worth handcuffing ourselves to something? Seriously, we need to do something. We can't lose someone who is as passionate about MINI's as we are. We did discuss a few options, including marrying him off! I did think of us all emailing the boss and letting him know how we feel about this. What do you think? |

Offline | You're joking richie... You are definately one of the most passionate MINI sales reps I've ever met. Canterbury MINI garage is definately losing one of its great assets. Hopefully there's something we can do to keep you here in sunny oz. Otherwise it'll be back to warm, flat beer. ![]() I'll definately fire off an email to the boss of Canterbury, just let us know the address. Dave ![]() long live the supercharger |

Offline | I too have met Richie and have come to see that he is one of the most passionate guys around breathing MINI. That's really unfortunate news- and to tell the truth, if I were to get a MINI now (which I can't $$$), it would definitely be at Canterbury due to their great support for customers and the way they look after their fans.. Richie, if you're reading and you need a hand (apart from me signing on the dotted line right now)- let us know, you've got some help here mate |
