so ye would save a little bit if we bundle them together postage wise, for the same cities.
But, would you guys who live in the same cities want the struts to be posted indiviually or bundled?

oh, a rough price guide you guys are willing to pay would be good, so that i can discuss (ie haggle) with euromini and m7
but ye a guide of what you guys are willing to pay will help heaps with figuring out numbers and such.

I think that price from Euromini is too high. As per my previous post the normal price direct from M7 is USD$199 which is AUD$235 plus postage. I will try and give them a call in the morning to see what Peter can do if we are looking at getting 7 - 8 to Australia.

I can probably get my brother in law to take the ones from Brisbane to Melbourne or vice a versa if we can organise in the next week or so.

Will keep you updated.

But i got no idea where i can get them in aus (couldnt really find any mushrooming threads for aus??), anyone know of where i can get them? btw im in melb
i checked out euromini's site, but they seem a bit steep on price.
also, what have you other aussie mini owners used to prevent mushrooming?

here are the pics of the towers, with evidence of slight mushrooming.

Please add me to the list, although the final decision will be down to the price we can get them for. Thanks for offering to organise a group buy, by the way I am Sydney based.

Hi guys,
just got word back from euromini, he says $280 inc postage if 7 or more people are buying, which sounds quite reasonable. but he didnt say how much w/o postage.
Im_dave, ye it would be good if you could bring em down to melb, save us like $25 each! but when you coming down to melb?

oh Paul_T, sorry bit of a misunderstanding. Prob shouldn't have used the term "haggling", but ye i dun wanna rip them off, just want to come to a mutual agreement where we (the customers) and euromini can both benefit, cause i'm sure they'd be more than happy to do a big sell of the strut braces, or anything else for that matter.
hope that clears it up!

so ye, tell me if you guys are still in at this price...
...also i've emailed m7 direct but they have not yet got back to me, so still waiting on that....

I'm still in at $280, especially because being in Sydney I can pick it up and save the postage. Lets see what M7 come back with before making a final decision.

Thanks again for all the work you are putting in, if we get more people wanting to buy it may get better.

You know fitting any brace type won't prevent mushrooming right?
Even some solutions for topmounts wont help. Be careful how you spend your cash...

Cheers,

hi guys,
got an email from both euro mini and m7.
m7 says to contact euromini, like what daisy girl said.
and euromini says 270 without postage... duno why postage would only be 10 more.....??

i know the whole topic of mushrooming and what prevents it seems to be pretty contraversial, i guess the only thing everyone can do is do some research and come to their own conclusion.
personally, from what i have read, a top mount must provide added strength simply from its electrostatic bonds as long as the bolts hold it in place. and since i havn't heard of the plates or bolts coming loose it must be adding some sort of reinforcement. anyway, just my 2 cents.

I'm happy with $270+ postage. Should we contact euromini directly?

Likewise. Happy with 270.

As for transporting to Melb from Sydney... not sure when I'll be coming down (prob next month), but if it's not urgent and you can wait I'll be more than happy to take people's from Syd to Melb to save postage.

long live the supercharger

I am happy with $270, what suburb are Euromini based in and as asked do we all deal direct?

Thanks again for sorting the deal out.

I bought an M7 strut brace from Euromini a while back. Corey is good to deal with.
Not sure whether it helps the mushrooming or not though.

He's in Northmead, near Parramatta.

Even though I'm not convinced on the mushrooming argument, I wouldn't mind having a strut brace, simply for the added rigidity.

Northmead is up the road from my work, so I'd be happy to pick it up.

I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole?
