Offline | Tips for removing rear seats? I'm going on a road trip and as usual space is at a premium! How easy is it to remove the rear seat base and squabs? Any hints and tips? |

Offline | The rear seat base is REALLY easy to remove. Remove the 4 plastic child seat anchor covers (these simple pull out), lift the leading edge of the seat up and push the rear of the cushion down - DONE!!! I have heard the seat back is just a few bolts and is quite easy, but have not tried that yet. |

| I love Lamp | Seat backs are just as easy. I can't remember the exact process, but there ae threads on here in relation to it, in the steroe section, cause if you want to replace the rear speakers, you have to remove the rear seats ![]() Its not easy being British Racing Green |

Offline | Before the clubMini trip to Tassie in February I removed the rear seats and made/fitted a flat floor. It worked well. I have had to refit the seats on a couple of occasions and it now takes me about 25 mins. I have in mind a few improvements to reduce creaking from the new floor during enthusiastic cornering and to raise the new floor to level with rear door opening which may (just) allow a full size spare to be carried under floor.I have tried to attach a photo, but am not good with these new fangled computer things - if it is not attached then there is a photo in the "whats new" thread late Jan early Feb. I'll have look later if necessary. |

| tag, you're It | Hi Stephen, I liked your floor idea and i did have a bit of a look at it when we were on the Tassy trip. If you do succeed in getting the floor engineered to be level with the door lip and there is room for a spare wheel and stuff, then put me down as your first customer. I'm thinking about a little tour soon down your way on the GOR -Pete |
