Alta or Any Suggestions??

I want to do some work to my little beast but im not happy with the standard 170BHP mini cooper S, i want to reach around 210-220 HP so far i am all Alta but i am not sure if i should use this brand. Does anyone know of any other brand that i should use, Is Alta Trust worthy for my little beast???

Alta's proven itself. There are alot of us running the Alta pulleys without any issues whatsoever.

Alta stuff is very well made from what i"ve seen.I have their version 2 blower pulley & silicone intake hose.
Also had their version 2 CAI with lid but i removed it & fiited a modified JCW intake instead, while the Alta produced good power in the top end it lost some low down torque & drivability.
Steve.

Hi Daniel,
Here's a quick tip about the headers- Be sure to check the size of the ports against the standard headers when you remove them (some are smaller than standard!) & buy a genuine manifold gasket from an OZ mini dealer as some of the aftermarket ones are rubbish.
Also be sure to use a flex joint as stainless headers can crack if they move too much.
Im sure they will work fine. Good luck,
Steve...

Hi,
In my humble opinion making power is easy but getting it to work is the big thing. My next serious mod will be an LSD. Actually the manufacturer of your headers do one for $400US,
which is an absolute bargain, i must check that out more.
Steve.
