Hey,

Dropped past the Motorline Mini showroom tonight to check out whats going on down there and came across this nice little treat....

Its the Alpine US Mini demo car, My camera died so only a couple of decent shots... but its worth the look in person, this car is direct from the US, its single seat, centre drive and the enitre mid section of the car extends out 6feet so you can get in and out... as there is no doors and the best it its still a driveable cooper s!

Ill try get down this week and upload some better photos of the inside and the detail.

I seem to remember poki brought this car to our attention in March 2004

then alexpalex started a thread in April 2004 and Berthil started one in January 2005. Unfortunately most of their links to pics of the car no longer work.

Where has this car been since then?

That's right Mike. It's been around for 3yrs or so.

In that time it has done the rounds extensively throughout the US, then spent a bit of time touring Europe. It's here in Oz for 6mths and is doing the Autosalon tour at a few of their events. I have it here for 5wks, then it's off to Adelaide Autosalon, then it's straight back to Alpine in the US.

I tell you what, it is quite a unique machine.
