Offline | A couple of blokes have beaten you all to it with their Leyland Mini S (BTW I think they said the paint was worth more than the car!). Just goes to show in today's society pink is not solely for women! ![]() ![]() Feb 02 R50 |

Offline | You've gotta admit, that's green! My first Mini was a 1974 Leyland S in "Hairy lime" - wwas almost this exact colour, so I'll give this one two thumbs up!!! ![]() Feb 02 R50 |

Offline | Come to think of it Nixmin, that pink pik is on alexpalex's site, response-graphics.com. There's a spiffy orange one on there too... (I go for really bright cheesy colours, I know!) I went to a car show with my boyfriend on the weekend, and we got talking to a guy from House of Kolor, who have the best custom paint colours... anyways I fell in love with a yummy shade of pink paint that changes to purple in the sun. He said for a mini it would cost around $2500 for the paint alone, not including the labour which would be thousands.... oooh crikey. I gotta long way to go.ps. 3 cheers for ppl born in 85! ![]() |

Offline | Happy Late Bday Nix!!! ![]() I know what you mean ... 22 ... I feel like I have to start being mature or something dsakko - Lucky you. When I got my S at 21, nearly all insurance companies wouldn't even give me a quote, and the few I did get were insane. And I've never even had an accident or anything. Kept thinkin 'oh well, at least its only til I'm 25' ... But now I hear most have upped it to 30 ???!! Whaaat?! ![]() Oh well, by the looks of it, I'll be 30 by the time I can afford to have a pink hotted up (and fully insured!) Mini. And by then I probably won't want one... *sigh* ![]() |

Offline | wow! I must be old! I'm paying $55 a month. What was insulting was when I was looking at getting a WRX - for me $185 a month, for my mother $75 a month. Might have to convince her to buy one for me to drive!!!![]() Feb 02 R50 |

Offline | Hmmm... I'm thru NRMA and I pay around $120 a month. Surprised yours is so high for a Cooper Nix?? Or do you have mods covered too or something? dsakko - Just had a giggle at your lil tagline coz you're a 'Mini2 Senior' citizen... hehe ... I totally crack myself up sometimes...Nah, if its the big 3-0 thats not even old (age is only a number anyway)... and $55 a month is pretty good! I was thinking of rexys too before I got my MCS. When I got my mini insured, one company said Mini's are one of the most stolen cars - and more likely to be stolen than WRX's. I was suprised to hear that. |
