Offline | Being a software test engineer (and uber geek) I'd suspect that the automated URL resolution algorithm relies on the "http://www........" before it will automaticaly resolve it into a link. ![]() Feb 02 R50 |

Offline | Pretending that I didn't just post that, does anyone know a contact for M3 Motorsport, and if they need an ultra-cool coffee boy? I still want in to the series, even in a service crew capacity. ![]() Feb 02 R50 |

Offline | And I meet all of the criteria! Sooooo tempting. Just think - no serving coffee - I'd be head honco. Do you think I could request a brandy glass full of 99 red smarties any time I wanted? Or even a MiniMe? Or maybe have 10 foot posters of my face put up all around the office as shrines for my underlings?...... ![]() Feb 02 R50 |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | My guess is BMW would be nasty when it comes to sponsorship and not allow sponsorship from stuff like oil or tyre companies or whoever to undermine their own corporate arrangements... or anything thing that would be considered outside of their image - ie somepornsite.com or whatever... Offline | Hi, BMW are not running the series in Australia (unlike many countries where they do run it). BMW are producing the cars but the series in Australia is managed and run by Sherrin Motorsport who own the rights to the series. Obviously it is to the mutual benefit of BMW worldwide / BMW Australia and Sherrin Motorsport to cross promote wherever possible, but ultimately the Sherrin guys are running the show. Exactly the same scenario exists for the porsche carrera cup series. Sherrin motorsport owns the rights and runs the series in Australia, with the support of Porsche Germany and Australia. Offline | Hi, According to the website the series will kick off with a non-championship round at the Melbourne grand prix. The calender is not yet finalised, but will be on the V8 supercar program. The information given out to potential competitors states that there will be television coverage from channel 7 in a mix of live and highlights format. Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | Gone are the days of the JCW Challenge cars being road cars with safety mods. That's a purpose built race car with stripped interior, carbon fibre door inserts, full rear diffuser. It's getting a long way away from the road car mechanically. BTW how did you come across the pics? ![]() Feb 02 R50 |
