| Keeping The Top Off! | MINI Unified - Party Downunder Hey with all the talk of MINI United, how come we don't get a big get together. I am sure that there must be loads of MINI owners willing to drive somewhere for big get together for us here in Aussie. If people will travel accross Europe, what about here? I think we could have a great MINI celebration for all MINI drivers. Would anyone be interested? Could we get MINI Aus to get involved? And any ideas on where we could/should have it? OH MY OH MY! I own a Sidewalk!Almost......... |

| You are number 6 | That is true, it requires interest from SA MINI owners, someone prepared to do the hard yards incorporating a state club according to the national rules. The other states and the national clubMINI committee will help you to get organised but it needs someone in SA to take the lead. Any volunteers? |

| Keeping The Top Off! | Sorry firmly committed to ClubMINI Vic. Although I do think Adelaide would be a good venue, if too far for QLD'ers. I haven't asked anyone yet, it was more of a thought than a proposal. But I will do. We have our AGM next month will bring it up then. But will get in touch with MINI Aus see If I have any interest. Wanted to use this thread to find interest on here so I could go to MINI Aus and say here I have this many people and this is where they want it blah blah blah! OH MY OH MY! I own a Sidewalk!Almost......... |

| Keeping The Top Off! | Yeah but we all know a lot of other MINI drivers. And also If you all went nah not interested than I wouldn't bother looking into it further. ![]() If we can get the word out there and get something on the ClubMINI and MINI Aus website we could drum up some interest. ![]() OH MY OH MY! | Keeping The Top Off! | Definately run it out to all ClubMINI and get interest. More of thinking out loud than any firm plans. Really just had abit of a quiet day and was thinking of these things. Thanks for the opions. I think Canberra would be good, supposed to be some good roads in the hills around, and not much going on there so should be plenty of accomodation. But again just ramblings of a girly. ![]() OH MY OH MY! I own a Sidewalk!Almost......... |

| tag, you're It | the proposal is a good one, and would be a great oportunity for club members to gather and share a common interest and exchange information. So as a national collection of Aussie Mini's the inaugual meet should ideally be at our nations capital Canberra, and then the annual or bi-annual meets be at another capital city or outback town. |

Offline | as much as i want to vote again and again i think it would come down to the amount of support that any area can give to such an event. On the other hand Candberra is 13 hours from both adelaide and brisbane and could be called the middle of the population (sorry perth but please make a case for adelaide being the center and ill still be happy). My Job forces me to drive... My Mini forces me to take the long way... |

| Mad Modder | We could have a show & shine, there's a nice hill climb track that i competed on a couple of years back, theres an 1/8th mile dragstrip/airstrip, motorkhana's are easy to setup, if we can get Mini involved we could have entrant showbags with t-shirts, dash plaques etc. I was a founding member of NSW WRXclub, spent 3 years doing NSW hillclimb c/ship, entered in plenty of summernats & car shows etc. & have plenty of ideas & would be glad to help. If everyone gets behind this it could become an annual event. |
