Offline | Sydney: Detailer required Greetings fellow enthusiasts! I recently joined the throng of tickled-pink MINI-lovers and I've never been happier! I spent around 4 months lurking in the forums, scouring drive.com.au and visiting showrooms before finally settling on a pristine 2004 MCS Chili in Hyper Blue / Black. So far, so good: I've had a long line of performance hatchbacks and sports cars (from a Peugeot 205 GTi through to a Lotus Elise) but the MCS is the best all-round package so far. Anyway, I mentioned that the MCS is pristine, and that's almost true: it just needs a really decent detail to remove some swirls and to restore the glassy finish of yesteryear. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone / a company in the Sydney area - preferably North Shore? I'd want the car cleaned back to the lacquer, treated with a clay bar, polished and then waxed. Should I pay a detailer to do this, or should I try to handle it myself? Thanks in advance. Matt P.S. Apologies for the awful picture quality: camera phone... |

Offline | Can't speak for them myself, but many users on here swear by Prestige Auto. Contact Wayne Green 68 South Street Rydalmere 96845577 Contact user 2bob, he has used them in the past and speaks very highly of them - and I can vouch for the quality of the paint finish every time he's brought the MINI to PITS ![]() Congrats on the car! ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Offline | There's a user here Stuooz who runs his own detailing business (I think that's what he does). He lives up Castle Hill/Baulkham hills way, but his car is always immaculate. ![]() |
