| MINI2 Regular | Heavy Freight from US i.e. > 70 Lbs Has anyone freighted heavy products from the US i.e. > 70 Lbs Brake Rotors and Calipers? So far the cheapest I have come across is $500.00 USD for USPS air freight (not expedited) Any ideas would be appreciated? Thanks |

Offline | At that price you could pay a bit extra and fly to America and have a holiday in the process? I was lucky that work sent me to Las Vegas for 2 days which meant no luggage and I could bring back the brake kit spread between two people. |

Offline | that's about 30kg's? i bring parts in from the state on a weekly basis and the average cost of a parcel that weight would be about $250 air freight on fed-ex. if you can wait 3 months you can sea-freight, but its a pain in the bum. Try getting the sender to organise it through USA mail, and that may well work out the cheapest. I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole? ![]() If you have any information, any information at all, please contact me as I'm writing an encyclopaedia. |

| MINI2 Regular | HI Mr G Thanks for your comments, but I don't seem to be able to get that sort of price for airfreight from any of the major freight forwarders i.e. DHL, USPS, UPS etc. If you can let me know who you deal with at Fed-Ex I will give them a go, but for now it looks like >$500 USD from all the above ![]() Thanks again for your comments. |

Offline | well funnily enough neither could I, but the guy who sells to me in the states could. I don't know if its because he does a lot of volume, or whether Fed-ex Us are quoting heaps better rates than Fed-ex Aus. can the seller organise freight for you? I love Warsaw. | Twincharge??? | They're all volume based, just like when Tire Rack quoted me one price there's no way I can get it myself. Sea Mail is no longer offered by USPS and even so, it takes 3 months with no tracking whatsoever and scaring the bejesus outta you. Don't bother getting sea freight either, sure it might be cheap in terms of m^3 but the port charges once it arrives is just as expensive as EMS if not worse. |
