It just goes to prove that restricting car-washing during a drought is crazy. Tell me it didn't rain because 35 people washed their cars and then dared to try and have a car show based upon the cleanliness of said vehicle. Bugger cloud seeding, I think we are onto something here Steve

Big thanks to yourself & Chris for judging today. We will be sure to include a Clubman class for you next year so you can have a shot at a trophy.

Firstly, it was so cool to see a RECORD 35 Minis turn out for today's event at Portside Wharf. A lot of thanks must be given to our President and Secretary , (Gregg & Annette), for their tireless efforts in making this happen.Only a few days ago, some negative vibes were suggesting we should cancel because it hadn't been advertised enough!! Thanks also to the Cruise Ship security for their great help in setting up, coning off areas, supplying tables etc, they are a great bunch
Secondly, congratulations to all the prize winners today, the water restrictions obvioulsy don't affect Mini owners
Third, thank you Chris and Steve for judging the cars in the pouring rain, and giving up family time to do this for us, again greatly appreciated
Finally, and to end on a bad note, you should all be proud of your Club, and its members, for managing to put on such a show for the car we all love so much. Just a pity we had to do this WITHOUT any help , ( prizes, cars on show, personal attendance), of ANY of the local Mini dealers. You are in total disgrace.
Not one representative from any local dealership bothered to give up an hour or so to come and see us, or contribute prizes to our cause.
Thanks though to Mini Australia for couriering up some prizes and parephanalia to give out to the winners, it would have been horrible for them not to have received anything at all, and thanks to the Club, we had some nice trophies to hand out.
I will be writing to Mini Australia to thank them for their kind efforts and contribution, to Portside for their help and use of facilities, and a third letter expressing my absolute disgust at the lack of contribution from the local dealers .
Hiding behind "internal politics" is the biggest cop out I've ever been witness to, and irrespective of where a show is held, I expect more for all of you guys considering the time we all give up promoting the brand in OUR OWN TIME

Yours, disappointed of Hamilton

I love it! That's hot!

I really should become a Club MINI member... I'm missing out on all of this and it would be gr8 to goto things and compare MINI's with people who love them!

Its always the way with MINI's whenever I wash mine it rains... I reckon we have the solution to QLD's drought problem....

Nice video too of the day... shows me what I was missing out on..

If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off!

I must also thank you all for putting your cars on display! - I only dropped by for about 20 mins (due to the wet weather my visit was cut short - I forgot to grab an unbrella...). I had a good chat to the Daisygirl and the Judges - I will be joining the club before the next event thats for sure (and also after I take delivery of my very own MINI!)

Yes it's disappointing. However you should be proud of the way the club put this on all by itself. The executive and all that helped should be applauded!

It was a great day, despite the weather MINI people are great company

Thanks for inviting me to be a judge. It was a very difficult job! It was an extremely well organised event as well.

As for the lack of dealers, it's their loss for not showing up. There was probably 200 to 300 cashed up people having brunch on Sunday and despite the rain lots of them were checking out the MINI's

Hell, if a dealer was there I could have ordered a new S and Steve a Clubman! It has always been the same, dealers could not be bothered. They just sell them they don't love em

Who's the whack job with the green wheels?

It would appear the farce is strong with him.
