There's only one thing cooler than a MINI ..... Lots of MINIs parked beside each other!!

clubMINI Queensland- Portside Wharf Show and Shine - will be held on Sunday 19 August at Portside Wharf, Hamilton Road, Brisbane starting at 10am with trophy presentations at 1pm.

If you own a new MINI (post 2001) why not enter your car!! You do NOT need to be a member of clubMINI and there are lots of categories and heaps of trophies and prices to be won. $5 entry fee is to be donated to charity.

Please advise attendance by Thursday 16 August to events@qld.clubmini.com.au or checkout the website at www.clubmini.com.au/qld.

clubMINI is the only national association of clubs specifically assembled by owners fo the new MINI and endorsed by BMW Group Australia so Let's Motor!!

Thanks for the info daisygirl, I am going to clear the calendar and do my best to get to this event... I've been meaning to go on a ClubMINI event for a long time, never had the thrill of the multiple MINI

I can guarantee that we will drive the 300 metres required to be there.Hopefully the local dealers will be dispalying some of their wares too.
It will be a great opportunity for you to take some photos of heaps of Minis against the backdrop of the Brisbane River

You got a couple of options there Callan...

1. Convince a work mate to do the shift for you. You just have to be on the look-out in the next week or so for someone at work who needs to get out of a shift themself and then do the trade for Sunday 19th August - Easy!

2. Pull a sickie


If you can't do either of those you'll have to flick the keys to one of your mates - we promise we'll take lots of pics of your car for you

Apparently the Motorline guys have been busy with the fibreglass and balsa wood and have knocked up a very close imitation

Of course if you want to know for sure you'll have to come along on Sunday 19th August

ive asked afew of the local mini owners if theyd be interested but as soon as they find out theres no run involved they dont wanna come :'(

But there is a run! It's a mystery solo-run ... let me explain.

Everyone starts from their own house at what ever time they choose, and then drives via what ever route they like to Hamilton. The trick is that everyone has to arrive at Portside at exactly the same time on Sunday morning even though we are all going via a different route. It's the run that pleases everyone - it can be long as long or as short as you like

Now quickly call your mates and tell them about the run so they'll come to the Show & Shine

I was thinking that after the Show and Shine that if anyone was interested we could go for a run up Mt Cootha for an icecream or even up Mt Glorius to a cafe for a coffee but will depend on numbers on the day.
