I sold my MY05 Mini Cooper (not S) with ~28,000km for just under $26k last month. Only took me a few weeks from advertising to getting the car delivered to the new owner. $33k is a really good price for a MY05 Cooper S and I think the right buyer will eventually come and pick the bargain up from you

Long long story story... the Golf GTI is pretty awesome, but I don't know... I am kinda missing something... we will see... I may be back in the market quicker than I think.

Speaking of which, GTI has not been started in a whle, I should head out to the garage and turn it over.

An update for everyone who's replied to this thread. Thanks all. Well, guess what? The car's STILL for sale. A guy offered me $31k and I'd accepted, except his parents didn't come through with the cash! Now I'm overseas and back in 10 days; since then, there have been four expressions of interest, so I've got a little queue of interested people when I get back! Hooray. BTW the new Pepper White MCS is a blast!

Hard selling our much loved MY05 Cooper S

But no. It's been advertised on line with two different sites (carsales.com.au and drive.com.au) and also in The Age for two weeks. I've reduced the price successively from $35700 down to $32999. I've had just ONE phone call and ONE visit from a prospective buyer in three weeks.

Any wise people on this forum who might (i) tell me what I'm doing wrong here and (ii) suggest ways that I could sell in the next 10 days! It's a really beautiful car and I'm perplexed. Suggestions much appreciated!

I don't think you're doing anything wrong.
My story is very similar and our cars are almost identical!
Check out my ad on Drive:

drive. com. au/used-cars/MINI/COOPER+S/Sydney/detail.aspx?id=3875036

and such a cute plate (PR02AC), but very little interest at the moment.
Like you, we came down from $35K+ to now $32,500 and still no callers.
What is going on? Do you think people were distracted by the election or what?
Gotta sell 'cause I'm moving to Singapore.
Guess how much they fetch 2nd hand in Singapore? Up to S$125,000 (lots of taxes).
Wish I could take it with me, but lots of taxes.

G'day all, though this would be a good spot to post my interest in a 2nd hand mini

I'm in the market for a second hand R53 Cooper S at the moment, planning on putting my 93 Rover mini on the market in the next week or two.

Looking at 04 onwards, preferring the updated model, Sunroof is probably the most important feature, followed by HK audio, leather/half leather, Xenons. Not that fussed on colour, more interested in finding one in mint condition with low km.

Got it all except the low km bit. No point in having one of these if you are going to look at it in the shed.

Which is why I'm selling mine. I drive it once a month to keep it turning over etc, then wash it and cover it back up and roll it back into the garage.

It's low klm's (8000kms), still like brand new really, and is only 10 months old.

If you are interested in a Cooper S Auto, I could make you an offer too good you may not refuse...
