Hiya,

the next drive day will be on the 24th, 8am at Doncaster Hotel.

Don't forget the AGM on the 27th, please try to be there and support the committee......there will be prizes and food and drinks..........fun fun fun!

Have you tried contacting a MINI dealer....I know they will hire out their cars at dealers in the UK, not sure if they would do it here! Worth a try though!

we hired a cabrio from Thrifty last december which led me into buying my own Mini

They are a lot cheaper. The one they had last year was a auto.

I would love to come on a run if that is ok, gives me a chance to explore outer melbourne.

Thanks for the link...I need an auto anyway, so Thrifty was the first choice. They are out of them for the weekend, besides I can't rent one because you need to be at least 25 for insurance purposes.

That was my first run today and I enjoyed the hell out of it, especially meeting fellow owners I picked up heaps of ideas and tips.

Yeah me too, it was awesome. Quite something to have a drive like that and not have the missus moaning in my ear. Must have her leave the country more regularly :-)

Ended up being a fair old mini procession back in towards the CBD too.

Quite impressed with that backery. Managed to feed me a pastie for breakfast that was better than any pastie I ever had in the UK.
