Offline | Try using someone like Union Shopper - I met a girl at the Show & Shine who got $4000 off her new Cooper by doing this. That's more than 10% ![]() ...or you could go and see Matt at Motorline & pay full price like you do in the clothing stores ![]() QuickBrick |

Offline | You're more likely to get a discount if you buy 'off the shop floor'. You're second most likely to get a discount if the dealer already has specified the car and it's 'in the pipeline' on its way to AUS. I don't think you're likely to get a discount at all if you want to spec a car and have it built. My last MINI was in the second of these categories and I scored about $2k off; my current MINI was in the third category and I got $0 discount. BTW, I am a believer in asking for a discount, pretty much anywhere. In fact, after returning to AUS from a trip to India, I made it a point to ask for a discount and, in the space of a week, saved about $200 on everyday purchases, like wine (from a supermarket, of all places), an outdoor umbrella, a shirt etc. So if you're into saving money, it's a good approach! ![]() |

Offline | I reckon you should be able to squeeze some sort of discount from a new built to order car. I know it's over 3 years ago now, but I negotiated about $3500 from the driveaway price from our MINI. It helped going in with a ready to sign attitude. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. We had a price in mind, we specced the car, nominated our price--even better it was a bit below--and hey presto, we had a deal! ![]() |

Offline | don't dealers give clubmini members 10% discount on servicing, parts, fitting? so if we order just a body shell and parts seperatly shouldn't the car come in 10% cheaper??? |
