I'm sure an auto electricain will be able to install a set of driving lights for less than $470.00 - try the yellow pages and get a few quotes.

Are they BMW driving lights? If they are it looks like the supplied wiring harness requires the internal dash to be dismantled - no wonder the install costs are so expensive!

You could always ditch the OEM wiring harness and wire them like all the other aftermarket driving lights (i.e. using an inline fuse and relay switched by the high beam circuit). An auto electrician wont require any instructions to accomplish this.

I installed my genuine d/lights myself. It is not a difficult job. If they are genuine they should come with instructions, otherwise there is a how to on motoring file.
You wire them up to work in conjunction with the high beams.
