Thanks Matt for the first posting of that photo.

For the ones who weren't there, from left to right we have

disdis, you should have introduced yourself.

Some of us might look a bit old(er), but the only thing we all have in common is our love of the MINI. No other qualifications are needed to join in. I PM'd you on the 12th about the meeting but you apparently didn't get to read that in time.

I would just like to add my thanks to ElTel for organising a very enjoyable day. It was great to meet everybody and to see all our cars together.

Having Boo and Melody down from Sydney was a nice touch and hopefully they will be able to join us again when they get their car.

Thanks again ElTel and look forward to the next get together.

Ill join the "Thanks ElTel" brigade, because you so deserve it! Thanks for the time you put aside to arrage this meeting. It was a brilliant sight, that row of 6 beautiful cars! And the amount of interest they got was awesome!

Again, thanks to Boo and Melody, it was great to have you join us. And fantastic to meet Scott, Matt, Jamie, Andy, Nick, Vanessa and the boys, and of course Tez and Rhonda.

Ive got some huge pics, but Ill have to scale them down to get them on here. If anyone wants the full versions, PM me with details on where to send them.

Now, disdis...........whats this about funky hair?? hehe!

Sorry we didnt get the chance to say hi. The age gap means nothing to this group, we all have one thing in common, we love a bloody good car!

what digital camera do u use??

i should not hv mentioned the "age" thing......
but hey, think of it on the bright side:
older= more experienced= better drivers

mmm... anyway it was a good experience, even though i didnt intro myself. but hving all these cars in the carpark is better than looking att them at the dealer.

my car will be here in jan 03 (i regret postponing the delivery very much now) and i cant wait for the nxt MCS meeting! my friend (same age as me) is getting a clio sp.
we will no doubt show him what we are made out of!!!

Its a Nikon Coolpix 5700. 5 MegaPixel and has an 8x optical zoom. Ive been nothing but happy with it! As long as you have a card big enough to allow lots of shooting!

Wow all those MINIs parked together is giong to make my final 4 week wait a nightmare.

Sorry Tez for confirming my intention to show up and not being there, but as usual the $$$ from Sunday overtime was too enchanting to pass up. So now I can afford even more options for the MCS.

I doubt that my old honda would have been up to the job of dirving to Melbourne and back..Its strange but old cars know when new cars are coming and start go get tired very early.

Anyway I hope to catch up with everyone at the next meeting.

Not cheap, I decided to lash out one day. I got it from Ted's at Knox, they were the cheapest I could find, and it was $2399ish, I think, give or take $100.

I used to own a 990, and Ive always been happy with Nikon, as is Tez!

Tell me about it. My car just knew that she was going to be replaced, so came up with a few quirky problems. Whoever says inanimate objects dont have a personality are totaly wrong!

Sorry we didnt see you there Gripper, but I agree, sunday overtime rates can be very very tempting, especially when there is a $45,000+ car on the way!

I was worried that you were wandering around for a couple of hours looking for us. It ended up being quite crowded there as it's a popular spot.

There will always be a next time. Perhaps you can let us know a bit closer to delivery time, as some of us would love to drive the Great Ocean Road Nov/Dec.

Now where is my surfboard and my speedos?

Life is just not fair is it??? There I was in the office on a Sunday and you guys are all out there enjoying the sunshine and more importantly enjoying your cars!!!

I don't get paid on overtime either. I was in the office on Sunday until 2.30am (Monday morning actually), and all that time I was thinking about the great time you guys were having. When I finally logged on here my suspicions that you guys had a blast was confirmed. And those photos, they looked great! Wish mine was part of it. Oh well I shouldn't complain. If it wasn't for the people who pay me I wouldn't have the chance the buy this car and all the others in the past. Still, wish I was there. Let's start organising another one now.

PS: Sorry if I sound a bit short. Only had 3 hours sleep as I was back in the office again early this morning.

Spazz, could you email me bigger files of those photos you took? I want to use them as my windows wallpaper. My email is wleng@bigpond.com. At least until I get a picture of my own car on one with the rest of the group. BTW, how is the video feature on the Nikon? Is there a time limit on the video? I am using an 18 month old 3.3mp Sony right now and and want to upgrade. I am very keen on the 8x optical zoom. My Sony with 3 times optical just doesn't do the job sometimes.
