| tag, you're It | ClubMINI NSW MiniKhana 4th Nov On 4 November we have our annual MINIkhana. We have the skid pan at Eastern Creek Raceway booked all day and we need at least 12 MINI's to register for this great event to secure the price we have negotiated. So what is a MINIkhana, well it is your very own opportunity to be taught driving techniques to an advanced level by a professional racing driver instructor and then put them to good use in a friendly competition. This is not a high speed event, all driving, training and competing is done on the wet skid pan, you are lucky to even get into second gear. But it is all about car control. You will be taught how to drive smoothly through corners, how to control a slide if you get into one and best of all how to do those fancy reverse hand brake parking manoeuvres you see James Bond do all the time. After all the training our instructors then have a series of drives through and around witches hats on the wet skid pan for you to negotiate. The timing is based on the most consistent time and not the fastest and we have trophies for the winners and runners up and you get your name on our perpetual Shield of Champions. The day kicks off at 8.30am at Eastern Creek and will conclude around 4pm. This is a fabulous, fun event and you will come away with new skills and a big grin. The cost is $250 per participant. I will need numbers confirmed for this event by 26 October with payment made in the week after this. Please send your intention to participate in the MINIkhana asap so we confirm our booking. Drop me an email now to register. |

However, I would recommend the day to everyone, skid pan days are fun, but also teach you a lot about the handling of the car, and your abilty to handle the car Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |
