Both engine versions of the MINI Clubman will come standard with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Automatic transmission will be available on both models from start of production in later March 2008.

I'd more interested to know what options the initial Australian "pre-spec'd" cars are going to loaded with? I'm curious to see what they'll have, if indeed there is going to be a bunch of pre-configured cars for the press launch events etc (I'd imagine there would have to be...)

Its great to have only only Clubman in Western Qld.

Retail Pricing will be announced closed to Local R55 Press Event Scheduled Third week of February 2008, As a guide only, indicative pricing should assume an uplift of approximetely $3500~$4000 over the equivalent R56 model.

cheers

who would have thought that 1ft of metal and 4 extra hinges are worth an extra $4000

Cool. I have a mini price guide in front of me here. A Cooper S Chilli in QLD is 48500 and the auto 51 on the road. That means that the clubman will be 52.5 - 55. If I were to spec that to our MINI's specs with full leather, metallic paint, alarm (DSC - is it standard like the UK?) and we could well be at 55 - 57. Imagine the auto... 60k. That is serious moulah.

Clubman less....
