Oh, and don't forget to bring lots of warm clothes! The mornings are damn chilly in Goulburn.

I will be driving directly to Goulburn rather than meeting up atr Pheasants Nest. It's a bit out of the way for me, and I need to be at the airport by 8:30am anyway.

Home safely.

A big thank you to Bryan for his seamless organisation and the time he put in to make sure the day happened, and ran smoothly.

I second that, thanks to Bryan for organising a great day.

Also, thanks to Liam for pulling over on the way home. I had the tyre pressure warning go off, the tyres looked OK to me so I reset it and no more warnings.

Yeah, sorry I didn't get out, I was on the phone ... hands free, of course. Once you started going again I figured all was okay.

Thanks guys. I'm glad it all worked out well in the end.

I've finally finished analysing all the data for the in-gear runs. I'll do the standing start data next. In the meantime, you can download the in-gear results from my website to save you all waiting until I could send it individually by email. Let me know if these links don't work.

In-gear data and Index (Excel file)
Acceleration times for a 30km/hr increase in speed, at various starting speeds. It doesn't include 80-120km/hr but this is easily calculated for those who covered this range. You can use the drop filters to select the driver, gears, run direction etc and the graph will show the corresponding data. Note that southward runs were slower than the northward runs because of a slight uphill and headwind. Unfortunately, some didn't follow my instructions so they only have data for one direction.

If anyone wants to play with the raw data themselves, the software can be downloaded from the following link:

http://www.performancebox.co.uk/Down...up_English.zip

The software manual comes with it, I think. If not, you can download it from:

http://www.performancebox.co.uk/Down...al-English.pdf

(also available in German, Italian and Taiwanese if you're so inclined!)

Individual data files:
Megan
swgn
Fitz
Floody
JME (& Steve)
CoolJamJar (& bro)
minigolf
MAD Always

No idea who owns these two runs

I've not posted the raw files for Sean (ClubSport) or Trevor (XR6T) since I've already sent them their's by our work email.

And now I've finished analysing the standing start runs. Here's the best times that everyone achieved. For those who weren't there, please keep in mind that the runway surface was coarse chip and grip was fairly poor. This made for some very slow starts that added at least a second to the run times. Some didn't really even try for a quick time, preferring a smokey burnout instead ... hence the slow times for the Skyline. I should also add that Dom's best time was off a rolling start, although I've corrected for that by extrapolating back to 0km/hr to set the start of the run.

100km/hr 400m 800m
HSV Clubsport R8 - Sean
6.9 15.1 22.8
Starion Turbo - Steve/Jamie
7.7 15.3 22.6
R56 MCS auto - Chris
7.4 15.5 25.8
Falcon XR6T - Trevor
7.8 15.6 23.7
R53 MCS mod - Liam
8.0 16.1 24.6
R53 MCS Mod - Bryan
8.1 16.1 24.9
R53 MCS JCW - Dom
8.2 16.1 25.2
R53 MCS mod - Paul
8.9 16.4 25.4
R53 MCS JCW - Lee
8.7 16.8 26.3
Skyline GTS - Keith
9.1 16.9 25.6
R53 MCS Mod - Avril
8.2 17.3 26.7
Polo GTI - Floody
9.6 17.3 26.9

I've also updated the Excel file linked in my previous post, which has the complete set of data for all standing start runs.

Oh, sorry about that. I was sure I saw JCW badges on your car. Obviously I was mistaken. But that makes your performance results all the more impressive, when compared with all the R53 results, JCW and modded. MINI quote 7.1s for 100km/hr and you were only a few tenths off that time! Great stuff considering the dodgy surface we had to work with.
