There is a saying about "once you have a JCW....."

My insurance is about $1100 through NRMA, and Im "only" 29 - so it will go down again in August.

Would like to have a new JCW like the rest of you too, but need a bigger garage to fit "her" and blacky in!

My car is for sale.

2004 Dark Silver Cooper S

It has the JCW air filter and AMD pulley and software. Not a full JCW, but goes just as well!

Come and check it out!

Crawfords @ Brookvale had a couple of clean looking R53s on the lot yesterday when I visited: one DS, another CR. Both around $30k, might be worth a look if you're still on the hunt.

I had a 135 for a day and was dissapointed, not as much fun, either in handling or performance, yes it was nice to drive but not as fast as the Cooper S ( From seat of your pants)

Thanks for the info---i am driving the 135 in 2 weeks for a full day to assses the car---lots of corners on the drive.

Was lovely to drive very BMWish. but didn;t have the chuckability factor. There again, I had a $1100 excess hanging over my head that day. always playing in the back of my mind

I looked at a 120i and didn't think it was that great. It was slow (won't be a problem with th 135) and also quite cramped. The structure of the rear doors and the rear seat layout means it's not really significantly better than a MINI in the back seat. It's **really** hard to get into and out of. Those points finished it for us.
