StrutBrace - Aus Avaliability/Recommendations

Hi

I am looking to install a top strutbace in my S Sidewalk and have read many good things about the GTT Brace.

Does anyone import them into Aus, as a one off would make it particularly expensive?

Is the JCW any good, as this would be a lot easier to get hold of?

Or is there another aftermarket one that people could recommend?

Any other advice would be greatly appeciated, as I would love to be able to see out the back sometime soon!

Roo

The GTT brace really is excellent

If it helps, the company I work for regularly ships to our dealer in Adelaide, and we get very good perferential rates. If you can get boxed dimensions and weight from Roland @ GTT, I will get a shipping quote for you

Hi,
Roland (GTT) will ship to Australia just send him an email.
I got my headers sent over from GTT.
I still think that the JCW brace is the sweetest looking bit of bling that you can add to the engine bay.
But I am a little biased....

I have the M7 brace and it looks so Sexy ! and it DEFINETLY made a differance on turn in, not to mention the plates they use over the strut tower are a nice piece of mind for anti mushrooming

I have the JCW brace and it works wonders, should be standard. I have a 19mm Alta rear sway bar wihich is very good too. Had I known the difference strut braces made it would have been one of my first mods.

My vote is for the M7 strut brace, looks great and the end plates give protection to the tops of the strut towers.

I am getting one put on my car here in Canada, just a heads up for anyone who has or is planning on installing a JCW performance upgrade that the JCW air filter assembly is a little bit taller than the stock one and Mini has a specific JCW strut brace available that will fit over top, as I have heard that some of the other after market struts will interfere with it.
