Ok,

I have been speaking to Jan from RMW about getting him to come over and tune my car. I happened to mention this on a forum and a few people chimed in wanting him to tune their car as well. At the time I said I would pay for his air ticket to get here, but since their will be a few I was hoping to spread the cost amongst the people wanting a tune. I live in Brisbane and I am gathering troops up here for a tune. But the option is there for anyone. If you have a group in sydney or elsewhere you can all pitch in for his plane ticket from Brisbane. He is very seriously considering coming over but I need to show him a big list to make it more inviting to him. So what I am asking is if you want him to come over to tune your car please reply here so I can put you down on a list.

We had a guy here in Perth that was going to be doing the same thing, we got as far as getting a few club members interested, think we got up to 5 wanting a tune then it seemed to fizzle out. Im sure I could resurrect the interest again.

Like I said, if you want him to come to your state and you have a few people, all of you can chip in and pay for his flight from where he is. Or we can setup a tour date for him. I know he loves perth as well.

I'm definitely interested in getting the RMW custom tune. However, can you explain why it is necessary to fly Jan in from the states when he can do the tune remotely?

Also, are larger injectors required for the tune to be carried out correctly?

Yes, he can do it remotely. But I am a believer in speaking to a person not a computer. Also if you have something a miss with the car, he can pin point the problem for you or even get it fixed. Otherwise it would take about a week via remote. But it is upto you though if you want a remote tune. As I was going to be paying for his flight though, I was going to get him here when I had all the parts installed and, of course, when he is available.

I would suggest you have the 380cc injectors if you have the pulley, CAI, Header and probably a new belt, 1 step colder spark plugs and just a general check.

I will find out, but from what I have seen it is US$350. Considering that a tune anywhere over here is about $900 to $1200 I think that is a pretty good deal.

That is usually for a caned tune.

There is only 1 Dimsport agent in Australia and that is the Tunehouse and they charge $2200 for a Dimsport custom tune!!!!

Apart from this the only other real option in Australia for a CUSTOM tune is by using a piggyback ECU and you are looking at over $1500 for these.... I was quoted over $2000 for the unit installation and tune.

To get the most out of your car after any mods a custom tune is a must have.

I can't believe that there are not more people interested!

Oh, please let me know the location. The only other thing I forgot to add was you'll need to locate a dynapack dyno and organise hire of it. I have located one in Brisbane for the people in Brissie, I just have to find out the hire cost.

Probably a couple of months. Once I give him a good amount of numbers he will give me a date or time. I will add you to the list!!
