Just noticed a 2009 Calendar on the MINI CHALLENGE website. Doesn't look set in concrete just yet though.

Just receive txt from MINI Oz.

Television coverage for Round 1 is on Ten HD today (Friday 27 March) from 2:45 - 3:00pm - as part of Australian Grand Prix coverage.

Not a lot of time, but a start.

Hmm!! Almost missed it - Daylight Savings Time.

Next txt from MINI Oz is for Race 2 - Sat 12.35 - 12.50pm DST

Result Race 1 - 1st Paul Stokell

For those who don't know, Paul coaches a number of clubMINI Q drivers up here and is running our upcoming autocross.

ClubMINI Q wishes Paul the best of luck for the rest of the weekend.

As a result of today's win, Paul will be carrying 85kg of success ballast tomorrow. I reckon they should put a passengers seat in and let me become the ballast)

I'm surprised you haven't scored a drive in one of the guest cars Ken.

Today's race was a bit of a procession and it was cut short, hopefully races 2 and 3 will add some excitement.

Mike, the offers are there, but they all want me to pay $12-15K for the weekend drive. If I keep doing that, I would not be able to save to get my own. Still working on that plan.

I missed race 3 because I forgot that the Vics didn't put their clocks back this morning, so WA was 3 hours behind instead of the expected 2

Yeah, I'm up for that! I'm probably as short as any of us on the $$$ to pay my own way, so hell yeah I'd be putting my hand up to come crew for anyone silly enough to have me!
