This is offtopic, but I'm sure everyone here would agree that all our thoughts go out to the people affected by the fires. There were a LOT of ClubMINI runs that went through and finished in the areas that have been destroyed, in particular Marysville and Kinglake.
Hopefully no-one from here is affected.

This photo was taken in Marysville, I saw this intersection on the news tonight, and there is literally NOTHING left.

Most importantly, RIP to the 66 (so far) who have been killed.

Michael.

I spent a lovely afternoon there back in 06 when i was riding around the countryside on my bike.
I brought this funky looking wombat thingy that had antlers and was spossed to exist in the area.
A friend i stayed with in melbourne had a place just down the road at narbarthon or something like that. She is safe but her house has been destroyed.
Condolences to all those who have lost someone.

I have been working the last couple of night shifts....sadly the death toll looks likely to reach 200. There are alot of people unaccounted for.
A mate is a CFA member up there....they had the paint burnt off both sides of their fire truck as they were driving through Kinglake yesterday.

I had similar thoughts to Micky tonight as I watched the news on Channel 9. The other area that has been frequented by many ClubMINI runs is Kinglake - which now unfortunately like Maryville is not more.

RIP for those that have lost their lives, best wishes to those rebuilding their lives

Yes, it's not good. Just heard Brian Naylor, a TV veteran has died together with his wife in the fires at Kinglake area. RIP

I have been watching the news with all these awful stories. I can't even start to understand what it must be like for everyone. Pretty worrying at the least.

I hope everyone stays safe!

Hi All,

Thanks for the picture Micky, I can't stop thinking of the last time we were up there and what a great run it was and what alovely place it was. I cannot comprehend that it is all gone. I also hear that the black spur is devistated. That area of Vic will never be the same.

clubMINI will be doing something to support the area. so watch this space. Anyone in Victoria, please do try and and join us. We will probably be doing a collection drive through Melbourne, collecting Money and Stuff. We will be co-ordinating with the Red Cross to do what is best and needed, but we will be supporting the local community in whatever way we can.

My thoughts and wishes go out to anyone in the area.

Roo

So sad, and to think most of the fires were lit by arsonists ....thumbs down to them!

If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off!

I'm sure all of the NSW mini owners would love to help in any way we can. My work (Lend Lease) has just started a massive blood drive to help all the affected people in hospital.

RIP in those poor people... our thoughts are with your families.

I have trouble grasping murder on that scale.

Thanks for the pictures, it was a lovely place.
