pretty new here i am from sydney and i just got myself a mini...04 r50 model thou...chilli...pretty sweet ride but the low gears are pretty jerky and all and was wondering if anyone knew if i can do anything abt this...some ppl says its the CVT and thats the way it is...but wondering if anyone knew or where i can get something done to it..and what mods can i do to the car and where i can get it done in sydney???
Yer the CVT trans is prity jurky to say the least. There is nothing you can do about it. Not even programing and re-adapting it will fix it. As for mods on a R50 not to much just mainly induction and exhaust work and I think it will keep you happy.

Hmm... Got me there, unless you go down the 'stroker' path.

From what I have read, you would get about the same output as a standard Cooper S with no mods. Also what do you mean you recently downgraded Mini_Matt to a cooper S? VW are a piece of crap!!!! The mini craps all over them. I agree with minipnut, if you wanted power and a less jerky ride you should learn to drive a manual and bought a cooper S!!
considering the amount of money you would have to put into a stroker its not worth it, the coopers stock part would all need to be changed out ! and by that time you could be running a stroked S

Fine then ... Individual throttle bodies are sexy, how about them aye haha.
