Coilovers for around $1000

I'm working on a deal to import a new brand (to Australia) of coilovers that are height and 30-way damper adjustable. Still confirming spring rates. They look to be price around $1000 at this stage for all available fitments. Just though I'd see if anyone would be interested?

You can buy a set of BC Coilovers off a guy on ebay for about $850 and the spring rates are 8k front and 6 k back. What type of coilovers you looking at bringing in?

$850, that's pretty good, is that on Aus ebay? I haven't seen it. The manufacturer I'm talking with is XYZ.

Yeah, you do. When I was searching around for mine, which was for about 4 months, I found that they pretty much all come out of the same factory!!!!! The camber plates on those look identical to mine!!!! Only the rears come with their own pillow ball top mount so you ditch the OE mount. I went inverted on the front and they don't make inverted on the back, which is a real pain if they are adjustable. My rears came with adjustable extension arms and we cut a 32mm hole above the coilover and fed the extension arm into the boot area. Man it is tough steel as well. I have a special holesaw for my work and I am glad I had it cause if you try it with a normal one you will just chew them up!!!! If you go to eBay New Zealand and do a search on BC Coilovers a heap will come up. Click on one of them so you can get to the guy that is selling them. His ID is Performance_Guru. Just send him a question and mention that a guy over here bought a set of inverted fronts for his mini last year. He should remember me I just recently got a couple of extension arms off him for the fronts as they were a pain to adjust with them. Just tell him what you want and he will get them. He is pretty good. The only thing I did with them then was took off the springs that came with them and put 9k Swift springs on the front and 7k Swift springs on the back. The swifts are the best you can get and is what Jan from RMW is putting on his coilovers. Texas Speedworks can help you out with the springs as this is where I got them from. Hope that helps. Oh if you go with inverted fronts you will pay a bit more as well but the ride is a lot better.

Just had a look at Performance-guru's listings, seems the price has gone up since you bought yours. They're now just a touch under $1200 + $90 shipping to Aus.

Yeah I'd be interested - only issue is I have a pre-March 02 Cooper - they revised the front geometry in March (the rears will fit fine).

Are they making front struts that will fit my car??? Cause the March 02 - 06 front struts definitely won't fit.
