I spent all weekend driving the doors off my S and I had a ball The nav got me a bit lost on one occasion, but other than that it was all good ![]() I've done almost 3100km in a month!! It's starting to loosen up now and I'm loving it. Gotta go say goodbye to my beloved Audi A3 now. Cheers... ![]() |

Hey, Smurfin: it just your wedding anniversary. What a better way of celebrating than by... nah, it would never fly. Nick |

Offline | The 24th is free in my calendar. How about a trip out Canberra way so Clarus and I can join in. The weather is just right for a nice trip down the South Coast, Clyde Mountain is pure Mini territory. | MINI2 Regular | From Chris, N-PU55Y: Old Minis Rule Hi Nick Thought that would get your attention. My name is Chris, we met on Sunday, I have the Green Mini with the PU55Y license plates (and cameras). Not quite sure what happened on Sunday we were supposed to stop at the entrance to the gorge but it all got muddled up and we ended up trundling down behind a commodore station wagon (Damn, I could have stayed at home in Bulli and done that). Then we all got separated. Anyway, If you and your friends are interested in coming down the South Coast for a blast anytime, I would be more than happy to show you some of the best mini roads in Australia. We certainly don't have as many Police down here. I have plenty of time on my hands mid week and weekends so just give me a yell. Anything from one mini up is a bonus, I head out for a run two or three times a week anyway (yep I get lots of fun out of my car). Also my mini doesn't mind hanging around with the new minis, in fact I write a weekly motoring / motorsport column for a few publications and a new Mini V Old Mini editorial with pics would look quite cool. I've also got the miniature cameras to play with so if you have a digital camera with AV in ports It's easy to set up a camera in your car. Enough babble from me, the URL for the web page where we all meet is http://www.minimania.com (go to the classic site and click on message board). I'm Ozmotorsport. Just look for links talking about MDC, that's the name of our little unofficial mini club (mini owners drinking club or something). Also if you want to see the pics and videos from the weekend you can check out my web page at http://www.pu55y.isonfire.com No picking on my web design skills Hope to hear from you soon. Chris |

I'm easy, though Canberra would be a stretch with Mrs rich What's good motoring territory in between Syd & Can? Offline | Yeah - Robertson Pie Shop sounds good I hope the pies are as good there as they are at Pie in the Sky ![]() The only 'good' way I can think of getting to Robertson would be to go south through the Royal National Park, down the motorway to Albion Park, and up Macquarie pass as you said. Then perhaps a relaxing cruise home on the Hume in the afternoon...? Surely there's an 'Old Hume Highway' like the Old Pacific Highway that we can take?? Isn't there a Razorback Mountain or something down that way? I don't know the back roads down there very well... thoughts anyone? ![]() Tim ![]() |

Offline | Is in Real mini owner allowed to sneak in here???? OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH has that new car smell. Anyway just wanted to jump in and let you know atht the guys you ran into at the Pie in the Sky have arranged a south coast run for 8 December 2002 and we would like to see a few new minis there. if you are ineterested, all the details are on my web page http://www.pu55y.isonfire.com email me if you itend joining us so I can keep a tab of expected numbers motorsport@austarnet.com.au BTW the trip from hornsby to National Park took me less than 45 minutes last week so that may help you work out your travel time. Better get back to the rusty old 10 inch wheeled, 4 speed, no climate control site before security has meen tossed out. |
