Mrs nhodge has been out of town until today, so I've been a single parent. Its also end of FY for us, so focus is on work-related shenanigans.

Sounded out the Mrs on a Sun trip (she expressed a desire to attend the next one) -- sounds like its a goer. Prob meet you guys @ Pie shop near Wooliegong.

More info once I have it all locked down, and life gets back to its normal level.

7 MINIs met at the Bald Hill lookout over Stanwell Tops: IML337, nhodge, s4matt, quantammechanic, flipside, rich and Alex (Mr McDonalds: a lurker!)

We drove from here down through Wooliegong out via National Park to Robertson Pie Shop. Alex peeled off back to Sydney, and we (missed and then met up) with Clarus from Canberra.

Before breaking up, we went into Robertson to their famous (?) Big Potato. Putting the 7 cars in a row, we received many complimentary horn toots as people wondered what monstrosity sat behind the latest marvels of English and German engineering. A jet lagged yankie friend of nhodge arrived for the show, having arrived at 6am the same morning.

In total, we had 7 NSW MCS and 1 ACT MCS Meet.

Mrs nhodge only lost the car once on the drive; almost tested out the air bags. Thankfully noone was coming the other way -- so no harm came to anyone. Master nhodge now wants to drive with a steel helmet when we go out on these drives.

s4matt and iml337 again risked their license points!

Good to catch up with everyone, see ya next time!

Apologies to Clarus for being late AND for us missing him at Macquarie Pass - Good of you to make the trip from Canberra mate

Thanks S4Matt & IML337 for sandwiching me into an invigorating, if legally dubious, switchback ride up Jamberoo Pass... This was the first time I'd let rip in the wee black beastie, and it did not disappoint. This car truly comes alive under the whip, and I urge anyone who is yet to cane it in their Cooper or S to give it some... soon! (Safely of course, and heeding the manufacturer's running-in guidelines if that's your bag)

Anyway enough said... Hope to do this again. Here are some snaps:

Great pics nhodge!

Wasn't it a glorious day. Have not been to Bald Hill for a few years & thanks rich for chosing such a great spot to meet.

Wanted to be there cos just could not allow the "mexicans"
down south to have more MCS on show than us in NSW! Had a fun time, met some nice folks, put faces to names and felt good seeing all 7 MINIs cruising. Only regret was to "peeled" off early and really envious of missing the big potato shot.

It was really nice to meet you all and hope to catch up again.

The biggest hoot for me was the head turning. 5 MINI Cooper S driving in a convoy certainly gets people looking twice/three times!

Mrs nhodge drove the car back to Sydney; more sedately thankfully!
