Offline | Hi guys since this is about Sydney I though I would post the question here. Is any one near the Eastern Creek Raceway today? As I hear that a group of people are driving around the track in a group of special Cooper S's. Just checking to see if this rumour is true. ![]() |

Offline | thanks for the report Wes, though I'm struggling to grasp that you actually gave Matt a friendly wave, as opposed to flipping him the bird... I know how much you love him, especially after the dilemma with the 16/17" rims ![]() I drove a 325ti compact last weekend - given the bland (horrible) looks of the car, it certainly is a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing!! I was incredibly surprised at how good it was! |

Offline | well not long after lunch i decided it was far 2 hot 2 work and went back down the easten creek, they were off the track proper and split into 3 groups doing various activities, 1 in the skid pan, 1 playing with witches hats and another group doin what im not exactly sure anyways got stared at a fair bit like i had 2 heads.. took a few foto's (which are exceedingly crap) and got the hell out ![]() mental note - must buy a new digital camera, quickly 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 edit - also there was a DS/B with 16" x-lites in the carpark.. belonging to a dealer im guessing, exactly how i ordered my car.. the thought of stealing the rims did cross my mind ![]() oh and tim - i did mouth the words "f'n C" as i waved back, not sure if he picked up on that or not ![]() |

Offline | Problem with that is it'll likely void your insurance policy. Wakefield Park in Goulburn are having an open day this Thursday, no restrictions, no racing license required. I thought about going along for half a second, until I remembered insurance. Doh! Dark silver Cooper S with black roof, silver R85's, DSC, climate control, alarm, MFSW/cruise control, sunroof, gravity leather (panther black), xenon, park distance control, interior light package. |

| MINI2 Regular | Mrs nhodge and I have done some track work @ Wakefield park. You're under instruction, and its safe. There are no looming concrete walls that you can smack into, just lots of paddock to spin out in. Its the best thing to learn the capabilities of your car, and understand why 99.9% of the people on the road are ***** drivers. Yes, there is no insurance. But you always have control -- more than the run on the weekend I might add -- and I'd do it again in an instant. |

Offline | I've seen small cars go sideways onto grass, hook up a wheel on a small indentation in the surface, and roll over. In fact, it happened during Rally Australia. A lancer came around a corner at a fairly sedate speed, hooked up a wheel on a rut in the road, and slowly rolled onto its roof. Scary stuff, and not something i'd ever want to do in a $50k uninsured car. Dark silver Cooper S with black roof, silver R85's, DSC, climate control, alarm, MFSW/cruise control, sunroof, gravity leather (panther black), xenon, park distance control, interior light package. |

Offline | As an aside, i've emailed PaulMullett and suggest they open a new "Meetings and events - Australia" forum, given that almost every message in this forum is Australian.
