Australia Tyre Recommendations

Hi there, i know there is a dedicated section for the above but thought it might be worthwhile having one for the Australia MINI devotees.

I am looking to replace a set of Silverstone FTZ Sport Evol8 205/45 ZR17 88W on my 2005 Cooper S MINI that have started to see better days. I am wondering what you guys are using and can maybe recommend.

I do approx 1000km's per week highway driving and then all the usual Clubmini Victoria runs as well. I have found the above to be quite decent for traction in all conditions, but have seemed to wear quite quickly.

Thanks

A few us run the Yokohama S-Drives, good in most conditions, pretty reasonably prices, good grip and don't wear too quickly.

I also have the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's and they seem just as good but were more expensive.

Don't forget to give Tyre Power North Melbourne a call for a great price and service! I know it is a bit of a trek for you, but it would be worth it. They know their MINI's and Tyres!

Thanks, I have been suggested the Yokohama S-Drives as well as Falken ZE912's. Both i have been told are quite good for wear and about the same grip as the ones i have currently.

The last MINI run took its toll on the rear tyres and the bad condition of the Calder Freeway finished the job

Just want to get ready for the long trek to Adelaide.
