We're getting the clubMINI Vic year under way with a shortish summer drive.

We're starting at Wyndham Cache cafe, K Road South, Werribee for breakfast at 8.00am. We'll leave around 9.00am and go via good roads near Steiglitz to Geelong North.

There's an option of ice skating afterwards at Geelong Pier!

If you're coming, please say so in a reply here so I can make sure we have enough places booked for breakfast.

Keep Sunday 17th Feb free for clubMINI Vic's annual Great Ocean Road drive...

Don't forget the first clubMINI drive for 2013 – THIS SUNDAY!

We’ll start at Wyndham Cache Restaurant for breakfast at 8.00am. After breakfast (about 9ish) we’ll drive over the nice roads around Steiglitz and finish up at the waterfront in North Geelong between 10.30 and 11.00am.
After that, there's the option of ice skating (!!!) at the Geelong Pier, a more sedate visit to the wool museum or just wandering through all the activities near the Pier. Or, of course, you can just drive straight home and be back in time for lunch.

The restaurant fills quickly and I’ve only booked 20 seats. About a dozen have let me know they’re coming – if you haven’t and you’re planning to come, please let me know by replying to this Thread and I can book more seats if we need them.

To get to the start:
Head towards Geelong on the Prince’s Highway (M1)
Take the C108 exit, signposted to Werribee & Werribee South.
At the end of the exit ramp, Turn Right then immediately Turn Left into the bizarrely named K Road South.
Wyndham Cache is 2.1km along the road on the left.

Two big clubMINI events coming up!
Great Ocean Road on Sunday 17 February, and a 4-day (or 2-day) trip to the amazing roads and scenery of Victoria’s Alpine region on 18-21 April.

Great Ocean Road Sunday 17th February.
There will be two starting points:
1. Point Cook, 6.15am for 6.30am departure: Shell service centre on the Princes Freeway (M1) at Point Cook. Take the Point Cook Road exit from the freeway.
2. Waurn Ponds, 7.30am departure: McDonalds, cnr Princes Highway (Colac Rd) and South Valley Rd, Waurn Ponds.
We’ll drive along the most spectacular section of the Great Ocean Road, with a few stops along the way. Breakfast will be at about 10.30am – a selection of large or light breakfasts at Lavers Hill. After breakfast, you're free to continue on to the 12 Apostles, or return to Melbourne.
It’s a fabulous outing in good weather, but even in the rain it’s still been an excellent outing – so come along whatever the weather!

Mt Hotham 18-21 April
Come for all 4 days if you can, otherwise just for the weekend.
We’ll travel up through Bairnsdale and the Great Alpine Road on the Thursday, then have a more relaxed day to enjoy the region’s famous autumn colours and history. Saturday will have more intensive driving fun before heading home on some more great roads on the Sunday.
