Bonnet Stripes

This is the place to buy the material. They will even cut it to size.

P.S. I am going to scope out some routes down south for this run if we still plan to do another southern run.

P.P.S. where did you say to get my bonnet stripes from?

Good work on the south run. We need more windy, fast roads. I have some to investigate out west, I think.

As for the MINI dating service, I would think there would be any number of ladies desperate to put their seat on your seat (MINI) I know any number of ladies that are keen for a good man, but I'm very reluctant to act as a dating service because of a previous disaster.

Hopefully you can get back with the love of your life Are you sure that the breakup was't caused by MINI Envy

Well at the risk of this becoming the Mini dating thread if you have anyone who wants to come cruising I always seem to have an empty seat or three, invite them along.

Back to mini stuff. I am driving to Sydney for the long weekend so I will have to poke the sydney people and try to catch up with them. I have a wedding on the saturday in sydney and plan to drive back sunday or monday depending on how I feel.

Will check out some southern roads both on the way down and back.

Service Info for Brisbane Mini owners

Hi Guys and Gals, I my Cooper had its 15,000k service yesterday at Brisbane BMW at a total cost of $328. All they really did was change the oil (at a cost of $77.50 for Mobil synthetic) and replace the oil, air and micro air con filters.

It also turns out they are going to replace the powersteering reservoir and still waiting on the new suspension parts as well.

I gave Motorline BMW a call before my service and they quoted $330. So there you go, not cheap!

Let me know if you get yours done cheaper.

Hi guys

I unfortunately may not be able to make the Feb 8 run. I have friends arriving from Sydney. If they arrive on an afternoon flight, I'll come for a few hours and then head back.

When did the mini dating service start up? Damn!?@##$%^ Too late for me.

I don't know about you guys, but I wish I had the MINI in my single days. The number of fine women wanting to get to know me becoz of the car. I know its shallow, but who cares.

Coop Z, with your car, I am sure you will have little trouble attracting the girls.

Hope to see on the run.

She's like my mini, full of nigly faults, but I wouldn't trade it for quids.

As for mini Dating I can supply any number of schoolies or retirees from age 17-19 or 80-90 as that is the only females who try and chat me up in the mini. hey theres something to be said about the appeal of a cute octogenarian.

hey baby shake that walking frame.

****Caution about to cross bad taste line******

of course if you try to grope them on the boob you have to aim somewhere towards thier knees.

mini dating

Looking the age group you are attracting, its obvious you drive your car during school hours &/or you drive past the bank on every second thursday.

From what i hear, you can have a lot of fun with a 'vibrating' walking stick.

My advice, you cruise thru the cbd around luch time, with your arm sticking out the window, and wolla, you attract the 25-30 age sophisticated women. Or just park your car outside a trendy cafe. Guaranteed to work.

Let us know how the bait (mini) works.

oh how I wish I lived in brisbane... yes the gold coast at night is swarthed in younger women and when I go shopping on my lunch breaks it's the blue rinse crowd.

it's called surfers paradise not sophisticated women paradise for a reason. Still I am willing to go offshore if my bait works better up there hehe.

Maybe it's like they said in Black adder - in the trenches..

D-Day

Well tomorrow (Thursday) I pick up my (Yellow) checkered roof and black triple-stripe bonnet/boot decals for my Cooper. Swamos and I will be installing them which will be an eye-opener and adventure for both of us.

WISH US LUCK!!!!!

Yes

They can do it Swamos and they will give me a price when I pick up my decals tomorrow. As for the offcuts you wanted I can scam them no problems.

Cool!!!

Now the question, Union Jack or Aussie Flag???

Any thoughts anyone???

What about the Eureka flag? The little british rebble against those lumbering Aussie V8's or Jap WRX's?

My 2 cents

I recon the Air Force Target is cool. But if I was going to go with a flag I'd go the Union Jack. But that's me.

Lightbulb

That's a good idea!! If I had the airforce target on the top, I could paint little WRX's on the side and cross them out when we out-run them on our runs!!

Maybe I could get a James Bond style cannon to poke out the intrecooler scoop. I reckon MIN would pull some birds then. Maybe we should have got MIN 007

midnight cruise

Talking about beating the competition on our runs, I had a Porsche Boxter challenge me late last night. I sat behind him at a set of lights. After he sped off, I followed suit and zipped around the back streeets of Bridgeman Downs. He now has a new appreciation for the MINI as he could not get away thru the sweeping turns nor the tight corners. I stuck him with all the way and could have passed him if the roads were closed.

Another win for the MIGHTY MINI.
