| MINI Traitor | Boo, Do you know anything about a German turner called Digitec. I saw a review on DW tv motor Magazine on Monday night. They clain 35 HP extra, but their car went faster than all the others, and it wailed like a banshee. Man it was cool. All that for only 1250 Euro. I think this bears further investigation.... |

Offline | NEW GUY TO BRISBANE GROUP Hey Guys, brand new to this MINI site, I was converted by Aussiemini last night. I should hopefully be joining you for a run on the 8th of Feb and maybe on Australia day. Looking forward to doing some obviously sensible driving with other MINI owners here in Brisbane. I read with interest some of your conquest stories, cool! I love to wallop the bejesus out of n'er-do-wells in their poxy Commodores personally. A few of my boof mates have V8 Holdens in one form or another, one SS, one GTS, and one GTO Monaro, the GTO I had the pleasure of softening the paint on his back bumper with my driving lights last friday night on a run through the back of Bardon and Mt Cootha, I would right on him the whole way and I could have passed him with ease on a number of occassions but my safety and that of my MINI prevailed, needless to say he was very impressed, when we reached the Summit he just got out and said Sh*t it goes doesn't it, you were all over me, to which I said "YEP!" I mentioned to Aussiemini last night that it would be good to do a Friday night run sometime and turn some heads around the Harry's Diner gathering, my MINI really turned some heads last Friday night so imagine a dozen or so. COOL Looking forward to chatting and meeting all Brisbane MINI guys. 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! (seriously it's not a bad car though ) |

Offline | New Guy Hi Snoopy, I've got a Chilli Red MCS with white mirrors and roof, 16" alloys and tint. Bought it from Brisbane BMW in November for a great price as a demo, it only had 800km on it when we took delivery and we put about 500km of those k's on there through various test drives. No mods to speak of so far, I'm somewhat of a purist so personally I'm not a fan of stripes or roof decals etc, but hey horses for courses. I wouldn't mind looking at performance based mods down the track but the cost would have to be relative to the increase in power. I'm not about to spend $1000 on an exhaust to get an extra 10kw. I'd rather do some training and learn to drive my car exceptionally well and then upgrade to a more powerful MCS in a few years (assuming that BMW brings one out) This is my first sports car so the whole performance thing is new to me as previously I had a 2000 Mazda 626. I must admit I've never really been into the whole cruising scene either, why would you be with a 626, but now I love getting together and cruising on a Friday night or good drives on the weekends. Sounds like I'll have plenty of oppurtunity with you guys. I'm looking forward to it. 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. Offline | Hey Coopz, Isn't it funny the lengths you go to in pursuit of another MINI. I saw the EB MCS whiz throu some lights at Clayfield the other day, when I finally caught up with her and gave her the wave she looked at me like I was some kind of pervert, she looked about 18 and obviously Mummy & Daddy had bought their little Ascot princess a MINI. The should have saved $20,000 and bought her a Barina...rude cow! When you buy Mini you become a member of a special club and it's not the flip your collar up Ralph Lauren club from Clayfield College I believe that aussiemini told me that the meet on the 8th is meeting at the Gap McDonalds at 8:30....I'm looking forward to it02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. | MINI2 Senior | Feb 8 Meeting Hi fellow Mini Pilots, We will be meeting at The Gap McDonalds at 8:30am on February the 8th for another run over the mountain and possibly the North Coast. Also on the 25th of January 2003, a few of us will be doing a bit of a run somewhere. It won't be anything huge - possibly a lunch and a burn around somewhere. Nothing's really been organised but keep your eye out here and I'll let you know where and where in the next day or so. |

| MINI Traitor | Hey, our last run was a southern run I'm as keen as the next guy to learn new roads. Everything to the south of Brisbane that isn't a 4 lane highway seems to have a 60kph sign on it It's up to you coopz to find a good run down on the border... Go forth little one, find a run, the force is strong in you.... ![]() |
