Hi Brisbane Mini pilots, after a great little new Mini gathering today, (which included a lot of fun, and brake pad wear) with Swamos, Ricci and myself, it is now confirmed we will be flying the Minis from Springwood McDonalds just on the Pacific Highway's Service Road (starting at 8:30am Saturday, January 4th), then heading south over the Gold Coast hinterland then back again.

The route is full of twists and turns and ups and downs

. Needless to say Mini country.

We'll stop for a bite to eat somewhere on the way and a few photo opportunities so bring your camera as well.

We already have four new Mini owners making the trek but still need more!

Interested Mini pilots can give me a call on 0416 175 062 or just meet us at Springwood McDonald's (Pacific Highway) at 8:30 am this Saturday January 4th.

PS I have attached a few photos from today further down. The sun was a bit bright for photos so I apologise in advance for the picture quality.

January 5 sounds good to me for a run. I've never been on a Mini run b4, but I am looking forward to taking out my E/Blue Cooper S.

Hi mate, the 4th is a definate date for a run and Swamos and i are heading out on January 1 (New Years day) to sort out a run in our respective Minis. You're certainly welcome to pop along as well.

However, we will be ready on the 5th and will post where we're meeting and our proposed route on the 2nd.

I saw a really nice Cooper S (silver)at Birkdale on Saturday the 28th of December with licence plates that read "RONI". The nice couple driving tooted their horn and gave me a wave.

Does anyone by any chance know them?

Count me in for the 5th. I have to sort out a few niggling problems at the MINI Garage on Friday (losing coolant, rear shelf rattling @ car not always starting first time). Unless there is a major problem, I'll be there.

Yep I in.

Two things

1 Mac's is on the right hand side of the highway as you head down the M1 or is it the one near Ikea on the left hand side. (I don't eat at Mac’s that often so finding then can be a MINI adventure in itself.

)

2 Has anyone contacted James to see if he is in or out?

Hi Mini Pilots, sorry for not clarifying which McDonald's, but it will be Springwood McDonald's near Ikea which is on the eastern side of the highway. (Left side heading south.) See you there.

So far we have five confirmed starters. I am keeping my eye out in car parks etc for other Mini owners to invite them along. Sort of a Mini Pilot stalker now.

P.S. As I was driving down Park Road Milton about 20 minutes ago I saw a beautiful Electric Blue/W Cooper S. I stopped gave the really nice couple inside my card and told them of our weekend runs, including the one Saturday.

They seemed keen so I guess I'll wait to hear from them.

Hi Mini Pilots, I first posted our run being on January Saturday the 5th. Well that Saturday is actually the 4th.

We will be heading out on Saturday the 4th. My brain must of been missing a few gears when I first posted the date.

I am sure, however, most people realised we were meeting on the Saturday and disregarded my stupidity.

Sorry again.
