Gives you some idea of the pace that we set ourselves. Not a good outing for the wives.

I know I am a reasonably fast driver, but I'm not THAT fast!!! No, I reset my trip computer at Rye, and the 94km/h average was between Rye and Apollo Bay when I was overtaking everything in sight (mostly on the outside lane on corners ). Actually it was a pretty clear run most of the way, and I was driving like a mad man. Would have been better if you guys were behind me!!!

Boo and Mel, it's a shame you guys were not there. WOuld have been fun with that BRG. Also aren't we missing another Black/w and also EB/W car? Hope to see a full house next time!!!

Way, if someone exaggerates about sometime like that, silence is the better part of valour ... reality is perception

Thanks Adam, those photos were great! Now I know why Coolpix 5700 cost some $2500. Excellent picture quality!!!

My apologies, I misheard WAY. But even so, the road from Wye river to Apollo Bay is no picnic, and gives you some idea of the pace that WAY set.

I'd still say that the average for the Geelong-Apollo Bay trip would be around 80?

We missed you, Spazz.

Still, as I looked at the fleet of EB cars ahead of me, I imagined that one of them was you. That helped a bit.

This work thing - it gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it? Then again, you're going to need lots of overtime to pay for the JCW kit.

Tell me about it! I just got home (7am) from an all night shift, and off to bed coz I have another one tonight! Oh well, if the Hartge kit is the go, I mightn't have to do that much overtime!

Hahahaha.
"Yes ElTel, I averaged 94kmh on the entire length of the GOR. In fact you should have seen me on the way home. Took some of those corners at 180kmh!!! Had M.Schumacher behind me and he was struggling to keep up in his bright red 360 Modena!"
Is that better Warped?

Way ... subtlety is not a concept you are familiar with is it?

Have to admit I'm jealous of the lot of you, firstly only just ordered my MCS and secondly the GOR is a long way away from Sydney

Great photos, Gripper.

But my question is, where are all the Coopers? All I can see in the photos are S?

Red Cooper It has finally arrived.

Sorry to have missed the run on Sunday. Not sure that I would have been keeping up with the 'S's.

I picked up my CR Cooper up today.

Been driving ever since. Hope to catch the next Vic run.

Chris

Glad that you finally got it. Shame you couldn't make the drive, but there will be others. We would all like to see some photos please.

Not a problem, ratboy, you're now on the list of VIC drivers, so someone should contact you when the next drive is on.

Lots of Minis here in Orange County, South California, mainly S'.
But the majority are SUVs, check www.bigdumbtrucks.com its run by a guy in our office here.. yes there are lots of these on the roads!

Hope to make the next drive..
