btw - someone mentioned a "new club" starting soon...I'm already a member of the Mini NSW owners club but haven't as yet made it along to any meets.

so is this club just for "NEW" MINI owners? or a subsection of the Mini Owners club?

well live in Chatswood, work in St Leonards.

bought the car from Alto Artarmon, no real complaints about them at all....washed and waxed Minny the other day, just to fix a "rattling" boot latch.

Personally, i like to have a fang up and down the old pacific hwy and also around McCarrs Creek Rd between Church Point and Terrey Hills

As for the rattle, have you tried putting a bit of duck tape on the metal loop on the boot (that goes into the latch)..did that and stopped it straight away.

I work in St Leonards too - in Christie St. I'll keep my eye out for your car. I have a DS/W with 17" rims and a dolphin fin on the roof. My car is generally dirty and travelling fast.

Of course, thats not my fault

I also heard there's a bit of a Police Blitz going on up the Old Highway due to a few recent motorbike accidents. Be careful

Welcome. We also normally service our Mini in Alto Artarmon. However, having gone back there three times regarding the airbag light, we've gone to BMW Sydney to ask them to have a look. So far so good...

Hi everyone,

Just a short post to introduce myself...I've been cruising around in my Mini since mid-August, but didn't find this site till December...but have been overseas since then...

You all seem to have heaps of fun with all your meets and stuff...I'd love to join you all, since my poor car's been locked up in my garage for ages and its itching for a bit of exercise. And it's only done 6000kms! I need to put a few more kms on it! Hope there's room for a Cooper owner, I couldn't help notice that everyone seems to have a Cooper S!

Hope to see you all on the road soon...

I have question for Aussie mini owners.
The speedo and tach are reversed on the Minis in OZ due to some BS legislation that states that the speedo has to be in front of the driver. Are the cars destined for Hong Kong the same, do they have the tach in the centre too.

Went on a recent MINI run, and there were 6 reds, 5 yellows, 4 EB, 2 BRG, 2 DS, and some others that I can't remember. Red was the most common colour on the day. Suprisingly, LY second

My choice again, I'd get LY all over. No regrets with EB though

well i think that EB looks real good on the Mini, well, i reckon all the colours look good, who am I kidding

but the other car in my garage is yellow, i need a bit of a change, but i agree, the LYs i have seen on the road are decent

Just wanted to introduce myself..I am the co-pilot to LUV2MINI, with the chilli red cooper S/ white racing stripes.
After weeks of reading over my sisters shoulders everytime she went to this site, I have decided its about time I joined and stop yelling at her to add something to her post....
