Offline | Hey Danny, chequered roof & stripes look pretty good. The black definately makes the Yellow more Yellow as opposed to the white which makes it look to soft and milky. My court is still out on the whole stripes verdict. My Chilli Red & White MCS is what I'd like to think of as traditional colours, and even though many of the originals had twin bonnet stripes I'd just hate to clutter the wonderful lines of my MINI. I've toyed with the idea of a roof flag, possibly a Union Jack or RAF Circles but I just don't know. I do like it just stock and really clean. I'll see you on Sunday at brunch, looking forward to meeting you all in person. Cheers Jase ![]() 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. | MINI2 Senior | Hi Jason, yeh should be a good informal meet on Sunday. As for stripes on your red MCS I have seen the white on red and that looks great. But I think a Union Jack would be brilliant!!! I have tracked down a guy (the one who did mine) who can do them (union jacks and Aussie flags ) for around $250. |

Offline | Well thanks all who attended Boos premier screening on the gold coast last night. Sorry it was such short notice but it's good to show the sydney people what we can do to be hospitable. I am onto BMW about my new lighting fault as I hope not to be hindered for our run on the 8th. See you all soon. |

Offline | Hey Steve, wasn't your MINI in at Bris BMW today? Mine's in for various little bits & peices, they've given me a nice but rather sedate 3 series, so I'm toffing about today in sluggish but quiet and refined comfort. How was the run on Sunday? Sorry I had to split. Callun sounds like he's hooked and ready to sell his right arm for a MINI. I gave him some advice on how to achieve his dream and get into a MINI sooner rather than later in his NEW GUY post, of course with the usual warnings and disclaimers. Perhaps we could catch up next weekend for a local squirt? PS: HEY COOPZ HOW WAS THE SYDNEY RUN? Cheers jase ![]() 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! Offline | Thanks for the hospitality shown on Monday evening at such short notice... I actually stayed on the Gold Coast for the day and returned early this morning to pick Melody up from the airport this afternoon... My brother and I dropped into the Mini Garage on the Gold Coast and the mini salesman there was really cool... We revved him up to go sell a few more and showed him "SWORKS" which he loved of course...He has some customers that want to get together for some drives so i told him to get in touch with you Swamos... They have an all Red S in the showroom that looks totally wicked... All in all, a successful last minute excursion to the Gold Coast.... ![]() ![]() ![]() only a 700km detour to my original plans for that Monday ....Oh, and the corners from Tenterfield to Casino "RULE" .. Thanks for the drive Coopz and Drita ![]() ![]() ![]() The original SWORKS |

Offline | Hey Boo, how much further was our "long" cut home, did you check? I called Gold Coast BMW and they are replacing my windscreen tomorrow, but sadly they have to keep CoopS for the night to let his windscreen cure.... this will be my babies first night away from home. do you think they'll let me sleep in the workshop with him? |

Offline | look it's a brisbane run! hehe Hey AussieMini, I think we should start a support group where parents of sick Minis can go stay to be with their metal babies. and I think they might be less nice replacing that front suspension if they saw the videos I have seen ![]() |

Offline | I just got my baby back last night after 2 days away to replace some passenger seat parts that were rattling along with my windscreen washer pump, it was taking too long to prime when empty and some other little rattles. They gave me a nice 318i snooze mobile as a loaner, BE CAREFUL my fellow MINI owners with these loaners. Your bottom can get used to sitting in soft squidgy seats again, you left foot will go to sleep and waste away and the only way to tell that the motor is on is the fact that your moving and the tacho reads 5800 rpm (that's about the cutout by the way unlike my MCS's raucos 7000rpm)You'll get your MINI back and be very glad but it takes a couple of hours to get that left leg working on the clutch again and to shake off the BMW cardigan feeling, those buttons are specially engineered and machined to stay done up forever. | MINI2 Senior | I’m with you on the 318 loaners Jasemini. How can something the weight of a Commodore with the motor of Nissan Pulsar ever compensate us MINI owners for the inconvenience of being without. I don’t mind them giving me that 328TI for a few days but if they knew what I did to it they would not be happy. But even the 328 is no match for fun. |
