| MINI2 Senior | We're Expecting 10 to 18 MINIs on the 8th Hi Fellow Pilots, I have just been doing the numbers and we are expecting anywhere between 10 to 18 MINIs on Boo's run on the 8th of February. The crazy thing is we could even tip the 20 mark!!! But definatly I think we'll get more than 10. WHICH IS GREAT!!! This is going to be great fun and good day out. It also goes to show there is a bit of a niche car group outside the "OLD" Mini clubs waiting to be tapped. Looking forwad to seeing you all next Saturday and remember to bring a camera. Danny PS if you need to know more, give me a call on 0416 175 062. |

Offline | Sounds great Danny, I definately think we should look at the options and what's involved in formalizing our NEW MINI club. Old MINI clubs are great but they tend to focus on techical, maintainence and restoration issues that come with owning an older car. Our club could focus more on driving, professional driver training, enahancement and unfortunatley minor fault rectifications. I'd be all for a NEW MINI CLUB. I was at the cricket on Friday night with a Real Estate guy from East Brisbane who has a Cooper S and all of his staff have Cooopers, they're all painted and numbered up, he's interested in joining us for our next run after the 8th, possibly a Sunday and he'll try and get them all along, there's about 5 all up including his, that would be a big boost to numbers. Have we decided what route we're taking and where we're having lunch etc?If you need any help just give me a call Cheers Jason ![]() 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. | MINI2 Senior | Rain and shine, the MINIs will roll With all the rain around fellow MINI Pilots, let's just pray for a sunny run day on Saturday. However, even if it is does rain, the show will go on. I am a hypocrite though because Swamos, Jasemini and I met for lunch today (a last minute thing) and I couldn't believe they drove their MINIs in the rain. I was so determined to keep mine dry, I drove my wife's Hyundai! Now that's desperate! But alas, rain (not hail) or shine, I will drag my poor Cooper kicking and revving into the elements to play with his other MINI buddies on Feb 8. My Cooper goes into Brisbane BMW on Wednesday for new front suspension and power steering reservoir and they say it'll take two days. So please fellow Pilots, a little sympathy for me and my baby. But until my next post, take care all and drive sensibly in the rain. Looking forward to meeting the 13, yes 13 as it stands confirmed starters on Saturday. |

| MINI2 Senior | Howdy. I know it MAY be a little late, but I would love to come, however, I don't have a ride. I have a car, but no mini to ride in. I do however have a commitment that evening, so, if anyone's planning on only doing half the trip, (or something like that) and who also has a spare seat and is willing to offer it up, then I'd be appreciative, if not, no worries! Please spare a thought to the less fortunate members of this board - those without minis. Please observe a minute's silence. ![]() |
