Offline | Hi Gerry, if you choose "post reply" rather than "Your Quick Reply" you will see a whole panel of smileys to your left. They can also be typed in, e.g. : followed by ) gives you , and : followed by D gives you .Great to have another MINI lover from the old country. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Eltel, I've had my '91 Celica upto 210, so any faster than that would be great. Do the MCS's have a limiter, or is that just an Urban myth? I guess I'll find out when I drive the car up from Adelaide. Cheers. Sadly INIMINI is gone, but never forgotten. |

| MINI Traitor | Apparently their top sped is 220. However, I think this is limited by the rev limiter in fifth. It is adjustable however ![]() Someone up here who claimed he had had his adjusted up a few hundred rpm got done by the cops for 235 (I don't know how true this is) ![]() Let us know what she does eh You might want to let it run in a little first, though. ![]() |

Offline | Thanks for that, Dutchy. 210's good, the MCS is rated as 218, probably under very favourable conditions, and as swamos says, is rev limited, not speed limited. Fitting any of the kits (e.g. Hartge, JCW, etc.) will provide a raising of the rev limit, and an increase in top speed. Not sure that I would want to go that fast in the outback, with all those 'roos hanging about. Nearly collected a big one last Sunday, and I was only 50k out of Melbourne. Enjoyyour MCS looks awesome, and with that number plate, surely you'd be considering getting a Works upgrade. ![]() Regards, ElTel |

Offline | Thanks Eltel, I'm not sure how good the supercharger will go with such high heat and humidity up here? It'll be interesting. As for roo's, it's more like watch out for cattle! The roos will just bounce off (relatively), but the cattle do much more damage. Day time driving is pretty good for speed testing though. The works kit is just out of my league - the financial minister won't allow it (girlfriend). Swamos : The car already has 800Kms on it and it will be driven to Melbourne and back before the trek up to Darwin, besides, I'd never speed in the SA Outback. Cheers Dutchy. Sadly INIMINI is gone, but never forgotten. |

Offline | Sad but true. Chicks in Minis. Bring back the 60s. Burn the bra. Ban the bomb. Legalise dope. Peace man. Sorry 'bout that. Should I add a M/F column to the Roll Call? Would that suffice? Are people happy to be constricted to such narrow gender categories? Regards, ElTel |

Offline | You're not the only girl Pink Mini, I'm here to keep the side up. Got my MCS about four weeks ago and love it to bits. Wouldn't have anything else now. COOP3R 5 |
