It's amazing how quickly drivers become MINI Pilots.

I just got back from Cjay's after having a look at his beautiful new all silver Cooper where he took me for a drive around St Lucia.

As you know Cjay's co-Piloted with me a couple of times and he always says when he gets his MINI he'll take it pretty easy.

But as soon as Cjay and I got around the corner here he is saying as we're stuck behind slower cars, "F&%$&* slow four wheel drives!" "F*&^%$# get out of my way Echo driver."

Good to see!!!

OK lets expand that to 1st,2nd 8th or 9th. I was thinking Sunday too Danny but Then I thought a lot of people want their sundays to themselves.

So I says to the cops, I says, "nah mate, that wasn't my tyres screeching, that was my passengers"

Who needs Sundays to themselves when you have a MINI and a great bunch of people like we have. REJOICE, RUN NAKED IN THE RAIN, ALL PRAISE THE NEW MINI AT THE CHURCH OF THE HAIRPIN actually sorry about the whole naked thing, I just get carried away with my wonderful MINI. I don't run naked anywhere in fact I don't run at all unless it involves the words "all you can eat" or "buffet" mmmmm.

I reckon Sunday would be a better day for the run too. I can manage either the 2nd or the 9th and am already counting the sleeps to either date.

Cheers

I concur... a good drive on a Sunday will get me snoozing a good night's sleep all ready for the week to come!

For those doing the shorter drive straight to Casino you may want to go via Lions Road instead of over Mount Lindsay (if this was the original plan).
From Queensland turn left at Innes Plain, 24km south of Beaudesert on the Mount Lindsay Highway (around 5km south of Tamrookum). It's 30km shorter than around Mount Lindsay and a much better drive.

Thumbs up

Byron Bay, Casino, nice roads, sounds good, instructions etc sounds better for those who get caught up in traffic or behind trucks. Forgive me, the whine of the supercharger is so subtle but those darn NCTs will surely let us know.
Sunday would make a nice change. We'll be travelling incognito (got my new rear bumper - no rubber stripe). Short of a major catastrophy, count us in.

HAVE FUN!

Thanks for the advice, sounds good. At this point Sunday the 2nd is the go. I'll do test drive this weekend and then have the maps printed for everyone. Anyone going the short way please let me know so I know who to expect at the picnic grounds.

Yeah confirmed that date, lets have some definate numbers please. Also you only need cater for yourselves at the picnic but I think my lovely other half will probably bake something for us so if I know numbers no one misses out on my missus cooking. (and yes Thanks again to the Swamos dating service for getting me and my girlfriend back together)

I can vouch for Neil's claims of driving your MINI Cjay. You should have seen the tyres smoking up!!! I loved watching the handbrake turns.

Glad I had the tyres swapped to 16's after Neil had it! :-))

Do you think we should tell Simon what we did to his car before he got it?
