Quite often I write to the CEO of major products to alert them to crappy copy or incorrect grammar in their ads, and the knock-on effect of having such pathetic ad agencies representing them. At least two companies modified their print ads.

One of my biggest gripes is the continual misuse and confusion that surrounds the meaning and correct application of something as simple as its and it's.

However I do not understand how anyone can go through secondary school and still use 'would of' instead of 'would have'. Yet it appears on this site with ridiculous frequency by both British and USA posters. Just shows that their teachers, if I can use that word loosely, probably did not know any better. Sad, really.

Hey what's my wife even doing sitting on the MINI? Thanks Cjay and his spy cam. Now i just need him to follow her to the shops just in case she decides to park it in the shopping centre parking lot again.

I think that's why your parents aren't keen on you having one....

BAH!

What good are parents? They don't know anything

But I want a mini of any kind! I've wanted an old mini for absolutely ages! Not for the performance or anything, just cos they were tiny little character mobiles!

D'oh... want one!

But they are a lot smaller Jug. However, they still have a lot of room in the front.

Yeah, I know they're a lot smaller. But Swamos said it once - something about the size of vehicle being inversely proportionate to the size of the member...

No, but really, the exterior size doesn't bother me, but I do know that I fit into them on the inside. Sure, might be a squeeze, but it'd be an incentive for me to lose a bit of weight

Cheers ElTel, I corrected the error pretty much as soon as I noticed it, which was about 5 minutes after I created the signature. But somewhere in the image upload the file from my gallery didn't save the new one, it kept the old one???
It has been fixed now.

You should know that we advertising types don't care how it's spelt just how it looks.. Well perhaps it's a trait could be more alligned with Advertising Creatives. Our Art Director has been known to remove letters from words on pencil layouts because the "wor" fits better on the layout without the "d" on the end.

The fact that my job title is stereotyped as a "suit" then this kind of thing is not really my bag, I just play around in photoshop with signatures and logos for my MINI stickers and desktop. Althoug I am the writer of most of our radio commercials, I guess when one's concerntrating on the creative side of writing that one doesn't concerntrate on spelling or grammar quite as much. It's unfortunate.

cheers

Heavy rains have cut the highway south of Lismore, more flooding is on the way too, I am doing some checking to make sure we won't end up on an aquatic run this sunday!

So I says to the cops, I says, "nah mate, that wasn't my tyres screeching, that was my passengers"

I thought all MINI's could go under water??? In Austin Powers Goldmember that MINI goes straight into the drink. Maybe it's a Cooper only feature because on the S the water would come through the scoop....crap,crap,crap,crap,crap, crap...

Arrow PICNIC SITE- Queen Elizabeth Park

I thought since we're all driving a british built car Queen Elizabeth Park would be an approriate place to Picnic, photo shoot and play a few games of cricket or touch football, if you have a frisbee please bring it along!

Depending on driving style it will take 3-4 hours to make it to The picnic site from Brisbane THE LONG WAY, assuming that most people coming the long way will be meeting me at the Yatala Super-MEga-American sized gas station at 9:00 that means that most people will arrive at the picnic between 12 and 1. If you meet at motorline or some such place at 8:30 you should all be to yatala by 9:00 Easy for a last minute fuel up.

The run back is clocked at 2.5 - 3.5 hours again taking into acocunt traffic and driving style. I am trying to locate a road map to confirm that 30 minute saving mentioned previously on this thread but with all this rain, small roads may be down so as a safety measure I suggest we stick to major roads.

Please note that the run to Casino is based on a drive AT THE SPEED LIMIT and We in no way condone speeding, This run is to be at your own pace so you can enjoy the car, the drive and the people. Please remember we're on public display to so Smile and wave, and ignore the few ignorant souls who don't enjoy the cars.

HAVE FUN!

Location
From Queensland turn left at Innes Plain, 24km south of Beaudesert on the Mount Lindsay Highway (around 5km south of Tamrookum).

From Kyogle turn right at Wilson Avenue, 19km from Kyogle (5km north of Wiangaree), or take the Lynches Creek (National Park) road at Wiangaree.

OK found it, thanks Christopher. This is a way to save about 15-30 minutes, If you are considering going this way please adjust your travel plans appropriately. Also please verify weather conditions as heavy rain could affect this route.

I have printed up instructions for every step of the way EXCLUDING this path, please adjust your instructions if you go this way. If anyone gets lost my mobile is 0411 456 770, I will get a full head count once we are at the picnic and I would like to make sure I get one once we hit brisbane too so if you're planning on pulling off before we hit brissie then please let me know.

Great to hear your coming, and feel free to bring a deck of cards, we may get a lively game of Mini Poker going, probably a lot less straining.

What about just kick the ball Danny? you don't have to move too much at all really, I'm sure you'll be tired from wrestling with your steering wheel and doing burn outs!

Hey Coopz, thanks for all your hard wrok on this, it's much appreciated. When you say the big servo at Yatala you mean the BP Travelcentre don't you?

Cheers
Jase

As I said to that old cow on the weekend. New MINIs don't do burnouts because they have traction control. She should have been more concerned that her daughter was 1. Driving a Holden, and 2. Was dressed like a $2 hooker!!!
