Seeing alot more minis around lately.. got me thinking..

What u guys think of making some sorta flyer up advertising MINI2 fotocopy/printing them off, keepin them in your car and chuckin them under windscreen wipers of MINI's u see about town?.. just im seeing so many of the lately, thought it'd b an idea if we wanna increase our numbers here.. im guilty of not doing a search on the matter.. mayb someones thought of it before, i assume we'd need 2 pass it by paul first. im sure he'd wanna know what we're passing about in his sites name i suppose and mayb the link on the flier is to a thread explainin things.. i dunno just a thought and figured, i'd see what u guys think

edit - realised mayb this isnt in the best of forums now it pops up on the main page for all to read but i was thinkin it was more AU-centric idea to increase aussies in here and get more mini's at our meets when i posted.. apologies to basil once again if it has 2 be moved

Couldn't agree more. Is this the sort of thing you were after? (Don't criticise too much, this is the result of a few minutes of spare time.)

Feel free to use as much or as little as you like.

FLiPSiDE, been doing this in Perth for a while now. Doesn't seem to have been too succesful so far but I keep trying.
Attached is a screen dump of the flyer, original file is too big to attach.

That's quite good. I've been putting my business card just in the window frame with a brief invite to join us on drives and outings. Had a few bites, but it would be much better if there was an official local club that I could direct them to. Are you listening BMW?

I think there are restrictions here on putting flyers under peoples' windscreens.

Still, I feel sorry for all those MINI owners out there who don't realise that they can join in with a really enthusiastic, caring bunch of other MINI owners.

I only realised what this car can do after knocking around with others (especially Spazz) who showed me a thing or two. Since then it's been fun and a touch of magic every day.

Regards, ElTel

Nice one too, Mike. Who pays for the colour printing?

Sounds like a great idea to me. Jasemini has actually had proper cards printed with our new Club's logo with an invite to drives etc.

We've also been stalking MINI owners up here for a while. Even if it means driving miles out of the way. We've found this to be a successful technique in getting new people along.

One very helpful dealership in Brisbane even sent a bulk email out to their MINI customers and from that we've had a few people along.

All MINI stalking is good stalking.

I'd be interested in getting something together.. Something like you have there but with a bit more graphic design added.. will give something a go myself using the basics you have there.. will post when finished..

Or another idea, how about a Mini2.com Sticker to put on the rear window?

Andy.
