Attention fellow Victorians: Sunday 13th April Early Morning Run - ESCAPE - MINI2

For those Victorians MINI owners who feel a need to go for a run, this Sunday I am going on an Early Morning Run

with a group called ESCAPE.

Simply, it's a group of people with cars/toys who are looking for a reason to exercise them.

This months run is as follows:

Meeting place: Nunawading Civic Centre
Time: Any time you like but be ready to leave at 7:15 am sharp
Bring: Name badge, morning tea, Melway

Depart from Nunawading Civic Centre at 7:15 am on the dot, as usual.
U turn back towards City
TL into Springvale Road
TL into Burwood Highway
After Dorset Road, Ferntree Gully, VR into Glenfern Road
Follow into Lysterfield Road (yes, I know we’ve done it before, but it’s a fun road!)
TL into Wellington Road
TR into Berwick Road
At Berwick, TL into Princes Highway
TL into Beaconsfield – Emerald Road and head for Emerald
From Emerald head for Monbulk, then to Olinda
Just after passing Olinda golf course, TR into the Georgian Road for the ‘wigwam stop’.

After morning tea. ....
TR at Mount Dandenong Tourist Road
At Montrose, either TR into Mount Dandenong Road or continue SO down Canterbury Rd. – your choice.

Chris, thanks for the invite. Can't make it this weekend, but I'm very familiar with those roads and it should be a great drive.

The location is Olinda football oval, with about 25 cars.

FYI, the next run should be Sunday May 11th.

Looks like a great roll up, and a wide selection of machinery there too.

What was the pace like? Did everyone want to travel at similar speeds?

Pace is generally at the legal limits, the roads chosen are generally 100 KPH.

Not everybody wants to travel at similar speeds, it is often difficult for a stock MGB to keep up with race E-type Jag. Generally, everybody is emailed the route the week before to avoid losing anyone.
