Offline | Land Ho! Finally - after many months waiting my MINI is finally in Australian waters. It arrived at and left Fremantle yesterday (Sun 13th) heading for Melbourne (18th) and then Sydney (21st) As Big Kev would say - "I'm Excited" |

Offline | Awesome But how the heck does that work?Normally the boat goes Brisbane -> Sydney -> Melbourne -> Perth ... so why would the car 'disembark' on the west coast only to be delivered on the east coast???? My baby is scheduled to arrive on the 4th/5th May and I can't wait now!!! Cheers Steve |

Offline | If it comes via Panama like on the Tampa it goes to Brissie first I think. Mines on the Mignon that comes via South Africa and Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. Funny thing is that there is only about a days difference in the trip time. |

Offline | Steve, different boats take different routes I think ![]() and I can't believe your car is finally going to arrive Gary! It's been SO long - I remember you were waiting when I got mine, and that was six months ago. I don't know how you've been so patient... I know I wouldn't have lasted this long. It will be worthwhile though, trust me ![]() |

Offline | Actually its amazing how fast the time has gone - MINI2 has certainly filled in the time. I had planned to take a week off when it got here but my schedule at work has filled up with stuff I can't put off. Still I reckon I can fit a three day weekend in to put 1000 clicks on the clock and do some motoring Cant wait. |

Offline | Subs don't worry me, its that big storm out in the Southern Ocean with 13 metre waves that worries me. "Only" 5 metre waves in the Bight at the moment though. I'd be less than pleased if my "Presh-S" sinks so close to home. |

Offline | The number of people who keep winding me up about storms / salt water corrosion / subs / reefs is starting to grate I sympathise with anyone who has had to wait 6 months ... it will be just over 3 months in my case and that is way too long in my opinion Have time tabled a digital camera purchase prior to THE ARRIVAL so I can take appropriate commemorate pictures Cheers Steve |

Offline | While I was incredibly lucky and only waited three months, I went to pick my car up to discover that the lease company hadn't paid for it! It was there ready to go and I had to walk away for a WEEK!... ![]() |

Offline | Hmmmm - I had better look at making sure thats all organised soon otherwise I'll have to sell one of the kids for medical experiments. How long does it normally take to get through the port in Sydney? Anyone? |

Offline | From the time the boat docks until the time the keys are in your hand is about 10-14 days? But if the stealership in Canberra, there might be another day or two of time putting it on a trucking and getting it down there from Sydney? |
