Offline | Italian Job Glad to see so many supports of the movie and the cause. Both of us and Stella (MINI) are looking forward to the night. I'm also a major supporter of Diabetes Australia as I have been a diabetic since I was 11 and I would look forward to working with others on a charity day later in the year for that cause. Cheers, Lisa &Stella |

Offline | Re: Italian Job Lisa, the company that I work for is a major supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, as one of the directors has a daughter who suffers from the disease like yourself. I've helped with their fundraising efforts in small ways since 94. Most of us are not touched by these diseases and therefore do not understand what individuals and families go through. I see that the unique nature of the MINI could be used to attract the public's interest for targetted charities. I hope that we all seize the chance to support charities such as yours, even if it means giving up some of our precious time. Most of us are truly lucky. We should repay some of that luck to our less fortunate members of society. Regards, ElTel |

Offline | Well said. and yes, the MINI would be a nice draw card. I've got a kit from Diabetes Australia on hosting events so I'll be in touch about ideas, but if anyone else is reading this and has a good idea for such an event for later in the year (after the Italian Job Premiere) please feel free to send me a message. Ta, Lisa |

Offline | One of the most satisfying parts of our Drive day last Sunday was the parade of MINI's down the main street of Bowral before heading off to lunch at The Briars. Cars stopped to allow the MINI's to stay together, pedestrians, shoppers and their kids waved, shouted whistled and smiled as we passed through their little town. The MINI has a unique attractive quality which is extremely satisfying to those who own one and to those that would like to. The difference with the MINI is that unlike most vehicles that attract similar attention, ownership is within reach. The same can't be said for Ferrari. We can have fun with our vehicles as was demonstrated last weekend. We can also have fun supporting worthwhile causes. Thanks for your support LisaR and Eitel Regards to all Brad Last edited by cityclinic : May 20th, 2003 at 07:31 PM. |

Offline | What the hell, Sydneys just around the corner, put me down for two tickets and a car park. I may have to smack my passenger a few times as he reckons he's going to wear an Audi hat(I don't think so Tim!). As I have told him this is a classy event....formal shorts and drinking beer through a straw kind of thing. Audi hats only to be used for checking the oil. Looking forward to it...its a MINI thing |

Offline | Cityclinic, Spoke to the Mini Club of SA, and they are all eager to see the film. They'd like to put on a static display, convoy, or any other involvement in the premiere that may be possible. Not to promote the club as such, more as a social event in tribute to the legend of the film and the car. Heaps of interest here, so let me know if you're able to squeeze them in somewhere into your plans. |

Offline | As early as possible to be sure of getting a ticket. UIP, Fox Studios and The Deb Bailey Foundation have large lists of people they usually invite to these types of events. By the time you add these and media there won't be a lot left. At this stage they have booked 450 seats only for Sydney and Melbourne and 250 for Brisbane. I've already ordered mine.
