Red Cooper

Hi! thanks for the welcome everyone!

I will have some pictures posted this coming weekend.

Spec as follows -

Cooper, Chilli Red with white roof, bonnet stripes driving lights, fog lights, rear spoiler (to be fitted), tartan red with grey leather interior (just like in the brochure), multi function steering wheel, 16 inch R83 5 star alloys, silver dash. Looks great and drives even better.

This is my first Mini after a long run of VW's, I appreciate cars with quality. I have a Deep Blue VW R32 on order which arrives in January (I hope?)

I hope to see you all on the run.

Dave

I can thoroughly recommend www.wotif.com for accomodation. Why stay in three star when you can stay in five star for the same price.

A bit about Charlize ....

Code:

CHARLIZE THERON (Stella Bridger) often portrays characters that embody indomitable
strength and beauty. She has starred in over 15 movies in less than seven years,
including Tom Hanks’ directorial debut “That Thing You Do!,” Woody Allen’s “Celebrity”
and “The Curse of the Jade Scorpion.” More recently, Theron starred in “Trapped” and
“Waking Up in Reno,” and her additional feature films include “The Devil’s Advocate,”
“Mighty Joe Young,” “The Astronaut’s Wife,” “The Legend of Bagger Vance, “Men of
Honor,” “Reindeer Games,” “The Yards” and “Sweet November.”

In 1999, Theron gave a notable performance in “The Cider House Rules” opposite
Tobey Maguire and Michael Caine, among others. The stellar cast was honored with a
nomination by the Screen Actors Guild for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a
Theatrical Motion Picture.

Born in South Africa, Theron was destined to perform for audiences. As a young girl,
she trained as a ballerina and was rewarded by her efforts when the Joffrey Ballet of
New York recruited her. When a knee injury forced her to change career direction,
she discovered her love for acting. Movie audiences were first introduced to her
seductive charm in “2 Days in the Valley,” an independent film that satirized life in
the San Fernando Valley during the 1990s.

Born: August 7, 1975
Birthplace: Benoni, South Africa
Languages: Afrikaans [First], English [Second], Parts of 26 Others

What in all things Mini is a lounge suit? It's not those wierd suits that ABBA used to wear is it??

Hi Brett, Harry Morant and jaydub,

UIP/Paramount can't confirm the status of the film celebrities on the night. As with any of these type of events they always request the stars come along however you really never know until the day. More goodies for us if they don't come.

Lounge Suit is usually the go for these type of events however I don't think I have seen too many of the media types in suits except for the odd TV journo.

There are stairs available for those who wish to make a spectacular entrance ... not sure about large drain pipes. Of course, you better bring your own vacuum cleaner to pick up the MINI bits after the stair entry.

Regards to all

Brad

Hope this star turns up

Hi Brett, don't sweat it buddy just a suit/sports jacket over dress pants will be fine. July is usually very cold so I'd be dressing accordingly.

Regards to all. Additional info shortly and keep an eye on the attendees list as it will be updated regularly.
