All ticketing info (payment details), invitations etc will be mailed to all those who registered an interest in the event early next week. There has been a real issue securing Venues in Melbourne and Brisbane which has caused delays in printing invitations, tickets etc.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and now believe the organisers are now on top the problems.

Tickets are still available for those who haven't yet registered.

grrr how come the premiere for the movie is august 13 for melbourne but MINI sent me a letter telling me to go to a screening for the 20th? so that means the movie would have been out for a week already? i probably would have watched it already if i wasn't going to the one that MINI have told met to go to.....hmmm

Without going into all the issues the club has faced with MINI and UIP re the ITALIAN JOB PREMIERES suffice to say we were unfairly delt with on this event however we remain philosophical about it and continue to support the Charity for which we worked to assist as a club.

The freebys were offered to all MINI owners who didn't want to participate in the Gala Premieres. We weren't able to approach the dealers or mail owners to explain the differences in what MINI Aus were doing and what we were doing adding somewhat to the confusion.

All we can do is appologise on behalf of the Club and hope that MINI2 members will continue to support 'The Gala Premieres' for the benefit of a very worthwhile charity in The Deb Bailey Foundation who are really the ones who are suppose to benefit from this event.

hey r there still tickets for the gala premieres? i would like to go to that and not one that was organised by bmw haha even though one costs money and the other doesn't
sorry i haven't been paying attention but i know now that it's on august 13 at russell street melbourne....how much etc? i'm probably too late but i'd still like to go...depending how much etc

if i can't go then i guess i can still go to the free one organised by MINI/bmw but i'm sure the other one will be more fun and it's for a good cause!

anyway hope i'm not too late to get some tickets!

Brad, I received my invite in the mail tonight. It says that I need to call the Deb Bailey Foundation or go online to www.debbailey.org

I have been to the web site, but there is no mention of a Melbourne Premiere, just Sydney and Brisbane, so can't book online for Melbourne.

Melbourne - the premiere is 7pm, Wed, August 13, Greater Union Russell Street Cinema, right in the middle of the city. Not much room for parking out the front, so I'll talk to them about any special arrangements.
