Offline | 'THE ITALIAN JOB' - Gala Premieres Thanks everybody for coming along and supporting the Premieres and The Deb Bailey Foundation. Deb Bailey has given us a really nice thank you letter which we will circulate on our September Drive. The night proved to be too cold for the screens on the Suttor Stand to be opened so the 450 odd people attending could see how good the MINI2 MINI's looked parked on the centre ring. On behalf of Deb Bailey and MINI2 Club thanks for getting involved. Best regards Brad Robinson Last edited by cityclinic : Sep 24th, 2003 at 07:49 PM. |

Offline | Great to see this amount of support already. The film premier and party is being organised by the Deb Bailey Foundation directly with Paramount/UIP. MINI2 owners are being given the first opportunity to purchase the limited amount of tickets that will be available in each location (Syd, Melb & Bris). MINI2 vehicles will also get pride of place parking at or near the entrance to each venue (TBA). There will also be some lead up events and publicity which we will post as info becomes available. TO GET YOUR INVITATION all you need do is reply to this thread and/or send cityclinic a private message with your email/contact details. You will be contacted directly by the foundation with ticketing info. Thanks again for all your support and now lets see which city can get the biggest roll up MINI's. |

Offline | Hi Swamos, I guess it is a little expensive for two however it does include food, drink and film. All proceeds go to a very worthwhile cause; Motor Neurone Disease is one of those plights on humanity that gets very little exposure or funding. The Deb Bailey Foundation is about finding a cure for what is probably one of the worst diseases a human being could die from. On the bright side; seeing all those shiny new MINI2's lined up for as far as the eye can see at a film premiere where the MINI is the star attraction .... got to be worth at least 75 bucks. |

| MINI2 Senior | Jesus Christ! $75! I have been to dozens of these movie premiers and either got free tickets or paid a nominal fee ($20 for example) for a charity. While the charity is worthwhile, $75 is still dangerously steep even for a charity event. For Brisbane people, I know the owners of a cinema through a friend. I suggest we could do it for half, even a third of the price. I don't mean to sound tight with money but that is expensive. |
